This most likely isn’t a brand new Utopia variant. It may also be a one-off creation primarily based on the race automobile.

The quick teaser solely confirmed varied race tracks from world wide, like Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and Yas Marina Circuit, paired with the sound of a wailing 12-cylinder engine. The automaker launched the Huayra R in March 2021 with an 850-horsepower, naturally aspirated V12. We’re excited to see if Pagani improves on the design or has one thing else in retailer.

Rivet Your Master Link! Mr. Know-It-All

Mark M wants to know the difference between riveted master links and the generic alligator clip style. He recently bought a new chain that came with both types of master links.

Riveted master links are commonly used by serious racing teams. Their only disadvantage is that they take more time to install and require a chain breaker for removal (although some companies suggest grinding the rivet link on chains #520 and above). You also need a proper chain tool to rivet a hollow-nosed master link. The Motion Pro breaker and riveting tool is a popular choice.

The clip type, on the other hand, can wear prematurely and get flicked off when hitting rocks, roosts, and branches. Even rolling the machine backwards can cause the clip to come off if it catches on a slightly bent chainguide. This can lead to the master link and driveline being launched unexpectedly.

If you choose to stick with the clip type, it’s important to inspect it before every ride and watch for any unusual wear. During installation, make sure to run the open end of the clip opposite the chain’s driveline to reduce the chance of catching an edge under acceleration.

Volkswagen Teases Possible New GTI For IAA Munich, But What Is It?

Volkswagen has released a seven-second clip on the X social media platform to hint at the unveiling of a new car next week. While it’s unclear what exactly the car is, it is believed to be a GTI model based on the red line featured in the teaser. The Golf GTI facelift can be ruled out since the regular hatchback is yet to receive its mid-cycle update, which is expected to happen in the first half of 2024. This suggests that the teased GTI could be something different, potentially a GTI variant without a combustion engine.

In recent months, Volkswagen trademarked a new GTI logo featuring a lightning bolt, hinting at the incorporation of electric power in future GTI models. VW’s Board Member for Technical Development, Kai Grünitz, also confirmed the development of a “sporty version” of the ID2.all, an electric vehicle that will maintain the front-wheel-drive layout characteristic of the GTI. This suggests that the new GTI might be badged as a “GTX” instead. However, considering the widespread popularity of the GTI name over the lesser-known GTX, there is uncertainty about which naming convention Volkswagen will ultimately choose.

The upcoming IAA Munich event, starting on September 4, is expected to reveal more details about the teased GTI model. It is highly likely that the teaser is related to a GTI variant, as the presence of the Jetta GLI with a similar red stripe in Europe wouldn’t make sense. More information will be available soon.
