Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid: The Most Powerful ICE Car from Porsche

The Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid is now the most powerful version of the SUV, surpassing the pure-V8 Turbo GT. This plug-in hybrid super-SUV is currently available for purchase, with prices starting at £130,200. Customers can choose between the conventional and coupé body styles.

It stands out from the standard Cayenne with its distinct appearance, featuring larger air intakes, quad-exit exhausts, and colored brake callipers.

The range-topping Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid boasts 591bhp from its extensively reworked twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 petrol engine, as well as an additional 174bhp from an electric motor. With a total power output of 729bhp and a massive torque of 700lb ft, it is currently the most powerful internal combustion engine (ICE) car from Porsche.

Porsche claims that the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid can accelerate from 0 to 62mph in just 3.7 seconds and has a top speed of 183mph. For even higher performance, customers can opt for the GT Package, which adds a titanium exhaust, carbon fiber roof, bespoke bodywork, and improves the acceleration time to 0-62mph in 3.6 seconds with a top speed of 190mph.

Furthermore, the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid is equipped with a 25.9kWh battery located beneath the boot, providing an electric-only range of 51 miles. This is a significant improvement compared to the previous Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid, which offered only 19 miles of electric range.

The Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid comes standard with adaptive air suspension and torque vectoring. Optional extras include Porsche’s Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) and rear-axle steering systems.

The interior of the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid features various track-oriented elements, such as aluminum trim, microfiber headlining, a microfiber steering wheel, a driving-mode selector switch, and sports seats.
