Maruti Suzuki recently revealed the new-generation Suzuki Swift concept ahead of the Japanese mobility show. The company will also showcase an improved version of the eVX electric SUV concept. But before its official unveiling, the interior of the eVX concept has been leaked online.

Talking Points Of The Cabin

The eVX concept’s cabin features a minimalist design, with integrated displays for instrumentation and infotainment placed on top of the dashboard. Other notable elements include vertical slats acting as AC vents, a 2-spoke steering wheel resembling a yoke, and a rotary dial knob in the center console, possibly for selecting drive modes. However, it’s important to note that these design elements may change in the production model.

Anything Different On The Outside?

The updated electric SUV has a revised front fascia with slimmer LED headlights and daytime running lights (DRLs) incorporating a triangular element. It also comes with chunky bumpers.

On the side, it features prominent wheel arches, large alloy wheels, and flush-fitting door handles. At the rear, the taillights have a sharp design with a 3-piece lighting element resembling the updated DRL light signature. It also has a substantial skid plate.

Electric Powertrain Details

Not much is known about the production version of the eVX and its electric powertrain. However, Maruti Suzuki revealed at the Auto Expo 2023 that it will come equipped with a 60kWh battery pack providing a claimed range of up to 550km. It was also confirmed that the eVX will feature a dual-motor setup for a 4×4 drivetrain.

When Will It Be Launched?

The eVX is expected to be launched in India by 2025 with a starting price of around Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete against the MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona Electric while offering a premium alternative to the Mahindra XUV400 and the new Tata Nexon EV.
