  • The top-spec Max variant of the C3 Aircross is more affordable than the mid-spec S variant of the Hyundai Creta by over a lakh. Meanwhile, the Kia Seltos has the highest starting price here, but the HTK+ variant costs Rs 1.5 lakh more than the top-spec 5-seater variant of the Citroen SUV.

  • The mid-spec Maruti Grand Vitara Delta manual variant is only Rs 10,000 more expensive than the 5-seater Max variant of the Citroen C3 Aircross. However, the difference increases to Rs 61,000 when considering the mid-spec S manual variant of the Toyota Hyryder.

  • The base variants of these rivals still undercut the prices of the mid-spec C3 Aircross.

  • The Citroen SUV is exclusively offered with a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine (110PS and 190Nm), which is only available with a 6-speed manual transmission. Meanwhile, all the above-mentioned rivals come with multiple powertrain options.

  • The Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos’ 1.5-litre engine puts out 115PS and 144Nm, mated to either a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT automatic, but they are priced way higher than the top-spec Citroen C3 Aircross.

  • The 1.5-litre mild-hybrid variants of the Grand Vitara and Hyryder put out 103PS and 137Nm, mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic.

  • The Volkswagen Taigun has the highest starting price among all the compact SUVs in this comparison. The base prices of the Skoda Kushaq have been reduced recently in light of the festive season, starting at Rs 10.89 lakh. The C3 Aircross is more affordable than most of these by around a lakh.

Honda Elevate

  • The one-above-base Honda Elevate V is priced closest to the Max variant of the C3 Aircross. However, for the more equipped second-from-top VX variant of the Elevate, customers will need to spend up to Rs 1.5 lakh more than the top-spec 5-seater Max variant of the Citroen SUV.

  • The Super manual variant of the MG Astor costs Rs 53,000 more than the 5-seater Max variant of the Citroen C3 Aircross.

Volkswagen Taigun

  • The Taigun and Kushaq’s 1-litre turbo variants produce 115PS and 178Nm, which is 5PS more and 12Nm less than the Citroen C3 Aircross’ 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine. These engines are mated to a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic. The VW-Skoda models also offer a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine for a higher price.

  • The Elevate comes with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, making 121PS and 145Nm, mated to either a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic.

  • MG offers the Astor with two engine options: a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.3-litre turbo petrol. The variants priced similar to the C3 Aircross only come with the former. The 1.5-litre petrol engine produces 110PS and 144Nm of torque and is paired with a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic transmission.
