Ducati and the Team at the University of Bologna have celebrated an amazing success. They achieved a remarkable victory in the electric category of the MotoStudent 2023 competition.

The competition took place from October 11 to 15, 2023 at the MotorLand Aragón international circuit in Spain. Ducati was highly pleased with the outcome, as the Italian brand was the main partner of the project through Fondazione Ducati. The students at the University of Bologna (UniBo) Motorsport team secured the victory in the MotoStudent International Competition through collaborative efforts between the university students and Ducati engineers.

On November 20, 2023, Ducati and the UniBo students celebrated the achievement. The electric prototype that competed was designed by several university team students and key members from Borgo Panigale were also present, including Ducati’s CEO, Claudio Domenicali.

In a statement, Domenicali expressed his congratulations to the UniBo Motorsport team for their achievement and highlighted the collaboration with the University of Bologna as a means of supporting the professional growth of young talents. He emphasized the importance of passing on the innovative approach that characterizes Ducati’s tradition to inspire future generations of professionals.

University of Bologna members included Giovanni Molari, the Magnificent Rector of Alma Mater Studiorum, and Nicolò Cavina, the Faculty Advisor of the UniBo Motorsport Team.

The MotoStudent International Competition’s primary goal was to encourage new challenges in research and innovation for students. This year, a total of 25 teams from four different continents participated, fostering the development of future innovators and their innovations.
