Yadea Kemper Unveiled As Electric Naked Bike With Insane Amounts Of Torque

Electric motorcycles are becoming increasingly powerful. From electric dirtbikes to electric sportbikes, and even electric naked bikes, EICMA 2023 had it all.

One that stood out was the Kemper from Chinese brand Yadea. Yadea is known for its high-tech electric scooters and commuters, but recently has shown interest in more performance-oriented offerings. Last year, the brand showcased the Keeness, a sporty electric naked bike. This year, Yadea introduced the Kemper.

The Kemper sets itself apart as a more performance-focused machine – both in battery technology and motor power. Yadea claims the bike boasts rapid charging, capable of juicing up the battery to 80 percent in just 10 minutes, with a full recharge time of just 18 minutes. The battery is a 320-volt, 20-ampere-hour lithium-iron-phosphate battery, able to charge up very quickly through DC fast charging.

The motor is equally impressive, with a 40-kilowatt peak (about 54 horsepower) and a 570-Newton-meter (420 pound-feet) torque figure. The bike boasts a claimed zero to 62 mile-per-hour sprint in just 4.9 seconds, and a top speed of around 100 miles an hour.

The Kemper is equipped with KYB suspension hardware, front and rear disc brakes with Bosch’s ABS technology, traction control, and a full color seven-inch TFT dashboard with smartphone integration. Additionally, Yadea has included a 1080p dashcam.

As of now, Yadea has not announced the bike’s pricing or availability, but it is expected to roll out in the Chinese market first, and other neighboring Asian markets.
