# VAUXHALL CONTINUES TO LEAD THE WAY IN ELECTRIC VAN SALES

– Vivaro Electric is the best-selling electric light commercial vehicle (e-LCV) in the UK, holding the top spot in both September and year-to-date sales.
– Combo Electric ranks second in September, solidifying Vauxhall’s position as the leading e-LCV brand in the UK.
– Vauxhall accounted for 32.5% of e-LCVs sold in the UK in September.
– Vivaro and Combo also hold second and third place, respectively, in the overall van market for September.
– Vauxhall aims to become an all-electric vehicle manufacturer by 2028, seven years ahead of the UK Government’s deadline.

Vauxhall’s Vivaro Electric continues to dominate the UK market for electric light commercial vehicles (e-LCVs), maintaining its strong sales performance in September. This information is based on the latest registration figures released by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). In terms of year-to-date sales and the month of September specifically, the Vivaro Electric leads the e-LCV market, closely followed by the Combo Electric, which is the second-best selling electric van in September.

The popularity of both models, whether used by individuals or fleets, has contributed to Vauxhall’s significant presence in the e-LCV market. In fact, nearly one-third of all e-LCVs registered in September were Vauxhall vehicles, solidifying the brand’s position as the top e-LCV manufacturer in the UK.

Additionally, the diesel (internal combustion engine) versions of the Vivaro and Combo vans currently hold the second and third positions, respectively, in the overall van market for the month of September.

James Taylor, Managing Director of Vauxhall, expressed pride in the success of the Vivaro Electric and Combo Electric, stating that the Combo Electric is now being produced at the Ellesmere Port facility, the UK’s first electric-only plant. Taylor also highlighted the favorable reception and adoption of Vauxhall’s electric LCVs, attributing the brand’s success to the tangible benefits of electrification that van drivers can enjoy.

To further support the transition to electric vans, Stellantis, Vauxhall’s parent company, is offering the Stellantis e-LCV Grant. This incentive provides customers with a £2,500 discount on small and medium electric vans, including the Vauxhall Combo Electric and Vivaro Electric. In addition to this grant, customers can also benefit from the existing government grant for electric vans, which can be worth up to £5,000. Furthermore, businesses and sole traders operating within the expanded London Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) may qualify for an additional £9,500 to replace a non-compliant van with an electric model, resulting in potential savings of up to £17,000 when purchasing a new electric van.

The Stellantis e-LCV Grant also includes a free home wallbox installation and a £400 credit on an Octopus Electroverse card. The credit allows customers to access over 500,000 chargers across the UK and Europe, providing up to 2,500 miles of public charging. This convenient and comprehensive charging solution is accessible through a single card.

The e-LCV Grant is available for all purchase and lease options, including outright purchase, conditional sale/hire purchase, Finance Lease, or Business Contract Hire through Leasys. This ensures that all customers transitioning to electric vehicles can take advantage of the grant.

This offer is applicable to orders placed on stock vehicles until December 31, 2023.

It is important to note that the standard home installation for the wallbox follows the installer’s guidelines. Additional costs may apply if non-standard install materials or practices are required.

The mileage provided by the Octopus Electroverse card is based on WLTP test figures and average public charging costs across networks.

Overall, Vauxhall’s continued success in the electric van market, as evidenced by the impressive sales figures of the Vivaro Electric and Combo Electric, demonstrates the brand’s commitment to leading the way in the electrification of commercial vehicles in the UK.
