The mid-week of October was busy with a lot of special edition and variant launches from Skoda, Nissan, and even Mini. During the same period, Toyota and Volvo also raised the prices of their SUVs. Tata Harrier & Safari Facelifts Launch Date
Tata has already revealed the details of the Harrier and Safari facelifts, including features and specifications. However, the prices were not disclosed. Tata has now confirmed the launch date of both these updated SUVs. The company has also shared the fuel efficiency figures for the facelifted Harrier and Safari.
Nissan Magnite AMT Launched
Nissan has launched the AMT variant of the Magnite, making it the most affordable automatic subcompact SUV in India. While a CVT gearbox was already available, it was limited to the turbo petrol variants. The non-turbo variants of the Magnite now also come with an optional AMT transmission.
Skoda Slavia Gets A Matte Paint Option
The Skoda Slavia now offers a matte paint option, similar to its peer model, the Skoda Kushaq. This Carbon Steel Grey matte finish is available as an additional premium and can be found on the top-spec Style variant of the Slavia. Skoda has also reintroduced the 10-inch touchscreen system in the top-spec style variants of both the Slavia and Kushaq.
Price Hikes This Week
The Fortuner SUV from Toyota and the newly launched Volvo C40 Recharge have seen price hikes. The Fortuner received its second price increase in 2023, while the introductory price for the C40 Recharge has ended after receiving over 100 bookings since its launch.
New Kia EVs Unveiled
Kia showcased its new electric concepts – the Kia EV3 SUV and Kia EV4 sedan – on the special occasion of Kia EV Day. Along with these concept vehicles, more details about the Kia EV5 were also revealed.
Mini Countryman Shadow Edition Launched
Mini has launched the Countryman’s Shadow edition in India as part of the festive season offerings. This limited edition is based on the sporty Countryman Cooper S JCW model and is available in limited quantities.
