VAUXHALL CONTINUES TO LEAD ELECTRIC SALES CHARTS IN LATEST SMMT NEW CAR SALES FIGURES

Vauxhall’s Corsa range has continued to perform well in the UK market, leading the charts in two segments, according to the latest figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).

The Corsa was the best-selling supermini in September and year-to-date, and it also secured the third spot in the UK’s overall car sales for this year. So far in 2023, 30,177 units of Corsa have been sold. The Corsa Electric remains the top-selling electric supermini in September and continues to dominate the market in 2023, with 2,796 units sold year-to-date. The Mokka Electric also holds the top position in the Small Electric SUV segment for 2023, with 6,433 units registered.

Compared to last year, Vauxhall’s passenger car market share in the UK has increased, rising from 4.29% in September 2022 to 4.93% in September 2023. This represents 13,434 car registrations for the month and 75,953 year-to-date.

VAUXHALL CORSA IS THE UK’S BEST-SELLING SUPERMINI

Vauxhall’s Corsa range continues to perform strongly in terms of sales in the UK, taking the top spot in two segments, as per the latest figures released by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).

In August, the Corsa was the best-selling B-Hatch, and it has maintained this position for the year so far. It is also the second best-selling car overall in the UK for this year, with a total of 25,692 units sold. The Corsa Electric is leading the way as the best-selling Small Electric Car (Electric B-Hatch) in 2023, with 2,220 units sold year-to-date.

Similarly, the Mokka Electric continues to dominate as the best-selling Small Electric SUV (Electric B-SUV) so far this year, with a total of 6,062 units sold.

Vauxhall has set a goal to transition into an all-electric brand by 2028, which is seven years ahead of the UK Government’s deadline.

The new Corsa features Vauxhall’s striking Vizor front end design across its entire range, along with various enhancements in styling and technology. The fully electric models offer Vauxhall’s next-generation 51kWh battery, providing a range of up to 246 miles (WLTP). Orders for the new Corsa are now open, starting at £19,625, with first deliveries expected in Q4 2023.
