Mercedes-Benz Might Finally Bring the V-Class Name To America

When Mercedes-Benz brings its next-generation van to America, it’ll reportedly put on the V-Class identify. Unnamed Mercedes officers confirmed to WardsAuto that the mannequin would drop the EQV nomenclature when it goes on sale in 2026.

Mercedes detailed its van plans in May 2023, saying the VAN.EA structure that’ll underpin new mid-size luxurious vans within the US and elsewhere. According to this newest report, Mercedes will supply the van with single- and dual-motor setups in rear- and all-wheel drive configurations and two battery capacities.

Mercedes declined to touch upon WardAuto’s report when reached by Motor1, telling us it can’t focus on future product plans.

Mercedes V-Class Marco Polo: Revamped Exterior and Interior

During the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf, Germany, Mercedes-Benz Vans introduced the updated V-Class and Vito lineups earlier this year. However, details about the camper version of the midsize van, the V-Class Marco Polo, were not disclosed at the time. Now, the Marco Polo model debuts with significant exterior and interior improvements. The camper van has undergone extensive upgrades, featuring a refreshed exterior design, improved comfort features, and enhanced digital connectivity.

One of the first things that catch the eye is the new V-Class Marco Polo’s redesigned exterior. With a more prominent bumper, a striking radiator grille, and the option of an AMG Line design package with an LED light strip encircling the grille, the van boasts a distinctive visual presence. Additionally, the front fascia offers optional Multibeam LED headlamps, while the back receives subtle updates such as LED taillights, a chrome trim strip with the Mercedes-Benz lettering, and a newly sculpted bumper.
