When an automaker halts production at a plant, it is usually due to supply shortages or accidents. However, Toyota recently had to stop production at all of its 14 factories in Japan for a different reason.

On August 29, production was suspended at several domestic plants, affecting 28 lines in total. The cause of this halt was a maintenance work mishap that occurred the day before. During regular maintenance, Toyota was deleting and organizing data in the database. Unfortunately, the system encountered an error due to insufficient disk space, leading to the production stoppage.
