Spy shots indicate that Mercedes-Benz is working on a refreshed version of the G-Class. Recent reports from UK publication Autocar, who had the chance to ride in one of the prototypes, suggest that the updated SUV will feature new suspension technology. The refreshed G63 is said to offer an optional suspension system that replaces the traditional anti-roll bars with a continually variable electro-hydraulic system. This new technology utilizes flow valves located on each damper to transfer fluid from side to side through valves. To effectively distribute the fluid, a gas-filled metal sphere is incorporated at each axle to act as an accumulator.
