The team at GHPC has been building for several years and has accumulated a scrapyard full of materials from previous projects. This means they have a wide range of items to repurpose for their latest endeavor.

In this episode, the GHPC team uses their plasma cutter extensively. They start by cutting out a rear sprocket that will fit their application. If it’s not quite right, they simply adjust the design and cut another one. Through a combination of cardboard-aided design and computer-aided design, they eventually achieve an elegant-looking single sided swingarm.

Throughout the process, there is a lot of measuring, math, and troubleshooting involved. The team encounters challenges such as tubing that isn’t long enough, but they learn from their mistakes and make adjustments as needed.

Have You Seen This Yamaha-R1-Swapped Golf Kart?

A custom golf kart with a Yamaha motor at its core has caught the attention of Grind Hard Plumbing on YouTube. This powerful machine impressed the YouTubers, and for good reason. With 180 horsepower from a pre-crossplane Yamaha motor, this golf kart is a force to be reckoned with.

The specific model of the golf kart, a Textron E-Z-Go, was used as the base for this impressive build. While it is uncertain which exact model it originally was, it is now registered as an “E-Z-Go Golf Kart.”

Yamaha-R1-Swapped Golf Kart?

In addition to the impressive engine swap, the owner also installed a power commander, indicating that the Yamaha R1 from which the motor was sourced is fuel injected. The engine has a displacement of 998cc with either 20 or 16 valves, although it is unclear which generation of the R1 was used. According to the video, it produces “180 horsepower.”

What makes this custom golf kart even more extraordinary is that it was built to be a dune buggy. Despite its off-road capabilities, it performs impressively well on the road. The presence of racing harnesses further emphasizes its performance-oriented nature.

This modified E-Z-Go golf kart features dual-rate Fox Shocks, transforming it into a 180-horsepower dune buggy. While it may no longer be considered a traditional golf kart, its power and capabilities are undeniable.

During the video, there was a minor setback when a CV joint snapped, causing a brief interruption. However, after some adjustments, the kart was back on track, even managing to perform a wheelie. Nevertheless, further work will be required to ensure the reliability of this R1-powered golf kart.
