Features Rejig

Volkswagen made a few changes to the Taigun’s features list in early 2023. It added LED headlights with auto coming/leaving home lights to the 1-litre Highline and 1.5-litre GT variants, which were previously available only on the top-spec 1-litre Topline and 1.5-litre GT Plus variants.

The Taigun still boasts a 10.1-inch touchscreen system, ventilated front seats, a single-pane sunroof, an 8-inch digital driver’s display, and cruise control. Its safety features include up to six airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, a reversing camera, and electronic stability control (ESC).

Top Scores In Two Crash Tests

The Volkswagen Taigun achieved a five-star rating in both adult and child occupant protection during the updated Global NCAP assessments in October 2022. It was also awarded a five-star rating in the stricter Latin NCAP crash tests conducted in July 2023. The SUV performed well in terms of safety in both tests.

Is It A Popular SUV?

The Taigun has gained popularity in India, with average sales of around 1,700 units in the last six months. In August, 1,943 models were sold. While its market share in the segment is just over 3 percent, the demand for the SUV has been relatively consistent.

Any Updates Coming?

Although the Taigun has received several updates in the past year, there are already plans for a facelift for one of its international counterparts. It is possible that an India-specific facelift will be introduced by the end of 2024, as the SUV enters its third year in the Indian market.

Stream More Content in Your Volvo Car with Prime Video and YouTube

Whether you’re recharging, waiting to pick up a loved one, or enjoying a peaceful moment away from the in-laws, your Volvo car now offers enhanced entertainment options. Volvo Cars has introduced Prime Video to Google Play, allowing users to download it in all markets where Google apps and services are available. This makes Volvo one of the first car makers to offer Prime Video in its vehicles.

Additionally, Volvo cars will soon have YouTube available, thanks to the integration of Google into its systems.

Starting from September 18th, Prime Video will be available as a pre-installed app. The rollout will occur gradually through over-the-air updates, market by market.

According to Erik Severinson, the Global Head of New Car Programs at Volvo, “Adding access to services such as Prime Video and YouTube in our cars bolsters the continuously growing list of software and applications to make lives for our drivers better. We are delivering on our promise of building cars that grow with our customers over time.”

It’s important to note that access to video streaming will only be available when the car is fully stationary, ensuring driver safety.

Here are some additional details:

  • Prime Video can be downloaded from Google Play, while YouTube will come pre-installed as part of an over-the-air update.
  • Both apps will be available in Volvo cars with integrated Google systems, globally, except in China, South Korea, and Vietnam.
  • Availability of these features and services may vary between different markets.
  • Data necessary for streaming these services (and other digital services) may not be provided with your Volvo car in certain markets. In markets where it is provided, there may be specific terms, conditions, and limitations.
  • Google, Google Play, and YouTube are trademarks owned by Google LLC.

The Best Labor Day Deals On Milwaukee Power Tools At Home Depot

Combo Kits are a great way to pick up multiple tools at a discount, even when there isn’t a sale. But with Home Depot’s Labor Day discount, you can purchase a Milwaukee 6-Tool Combo Kit for nearly half its usual price, giving you a great deal on multiple products. The kit includes an M18 Compact 1/2″ Drill/Driver, M18 Hex Impact Driver, M18 Hackzall Reciprocating Saw, M18 6.5″ Circular Saw, and an M18 Work Light that can give you a long-lasting bright light to illuminate your workspace.

As part of Milwaukee’s M18 line, all these tools can share the same 18-volt batteries. The kit comes with two extended capacity M18 REDLITHIUM units, so you can use two tools simultaneously or keep one as a backup, so you won’t have to pause work between recharges. The kit also includes a multi-voltage charger that can power the M18 batteries, as well as M12 batteries, if you own 12-volt Milwaukee power tools as well. Finally, the kit includes a contractor bag for portable storage.

Combo kits are double-edged swords because they give you a lot of what you need, but may include tools you already own that you end up unnecessarily paying for (like the battery charger, for example). But if you could use everything that’s included, this Milwaukee Cordless 6-Tool Combo Kit is 47% off its usual $749 price tag — meaning you can purchase it for just $399.

8BitDo Micro Controller Solves a Major Issue with Android and Nintendo Switch Gaming

Even if you don’t necessarily need it for gaming, the 8BitDo Micro controller is worth considering. With its Keyboard Mode, you can assign different functions to all 16 inputs. While typing a novel may be challenging with only 16 letters, Keyboard Mode is perfect for using quick keyboard shortcuts for various applications. Additionally, you can use it as a remote camera trigger for capturing selfies and videos. The best part is that Keyboard Mode is compatible not only with Android but also with iOS and Windows. This means you can connect the Micro to a wide range of devices, including the iPad Pro.

Despite its compact size, the 8BitDo Micro has an impressive 10-hour battery life and can fully charge in just 1-2 hours. You can also keep it connected with a USB cable for uninterrupted usage. Weighing less than 25 grams and measuring 72 x 40.7 x 14.1 mm, the Micro is considerably smaller than the standard Joy-Con controller. When you purchase the 8BitDo Micro, it comes with a USB cable, instruction manual, and wrist strap. The wrist strap comes in handy because this tiny controller can easily get lost if dropped.
