GMC Hummer EV EarthCruiser: An Eco-Friendly Overlander for Adventure Travel

EarthCruiser, the specialist in overland adventure travel and camping, has revealed the all-electric GMC Hummer EarthCruiser. This vehicle is a custom upfit solution that seamlessly integrates onto the GMC Hummer’s chassis, providing adventurers with state-of-the-art technology and comfort for both on-road and off-road journeys. The public will have the opportunity to see the fully functional Hummer EarthCruiser upfit at the Overland Expo Mountain West in Loveland, Colorado, from August 25 to 27.

One of the main appeals of this overlander is its commitment to sustainability and off-grid capability. EarthCruiser has collaborated with GMC to develop a carbon-fiber house that is seamlessly integrated into the electric truck’s chassis. The vehicle is equipped with a remarkable 605-watt onboard solar power system and a 6-kilowatt-hour 12V lithium battery setup, providing an estimated seven days of off-grid power autonomy. This allows adventurers to power essential appliances like refrigerators or freezers, ensuring they have sustenance even during extended trips.

Six-Wheeled Toyota Land Cruiser Transformed into a Motorhome

Earthcruiser Australia has recently converted a Toyota Land Cruiser 79 Series into a 6X6 camper, specifically designed for off-road adventures. This unique vehicle, known as the Extreme 330 6×6, was created upon the request of a customer who has previously purchased other vehicles from the company.

The Extreme 330 6×6 features numerous upgrades to ensure optimal performance in rugged terrains. Earthcruiser has installed portal axles, which enhance ground clearance, and differential locks across all three axles. The middle axle also has a steering function, improving the vehicle’s handling capabilities. Additionally, a central tire inflation system allows for remote inflation of the tires while driving. This system can even adjust the tire pressures based on the vehicle’s speed using GPS speed sensing.
