Skoda Slavia And Skoda Kushaq Style Variants Get The The 10-inch Touchscreen Infotainment Again

The Czech automaker has also replaced the alloy wheels on the Style variant of the Skoda Kushaq

  • The Skoda Slavia and Skoda Kushaq have now regained the 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which was temporarily unavailable due to a shortage of semiconductor chips. This infotainment system is available in the top-spec Style variants of both models. However, it’s worth noting that the larger touchscreen system was already being offered with the Monte Carlo edition of the Kushaq.

  • Both models in the Style variant now also receive electrically adjustable front seats and footwell illumination. Other common features on both the Slavia and Kushaq include an 8-inch digital driver’s display, a single-pane sunroof, and ventilated front seats. Additionally, the Ambition Plus variant of the Slavia features a built-in dashcam.

  • The Style variant of the Skoda Kushaq now comes with a set of silver alloy wheels, replacing the dual-tone 17-inch alloy wheels. The Monte Carlo edition of the Kushaq still features the 5-spoke dual-tone 17-inch wheels.

  • Both the Skoda Slavia and Kushaq are available with two engine options: a 1-litre turbo-petrol engine with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission, and a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).

  • The prices for the Skoda Slavia and Kushaq start at Rs 10.89 lakh (ex-showroom pan India).

The Skoda Slavia and Skoda Kushaq have received an upgrade in their Style variants. They now come equipped with the 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which was temporarily unavailable due to a shortage of semiconductor chips. This feature is available in the top-spec Style variants of both models. It is important to note that the Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo edition already had this larger touchscreen system.

In addition to the touchscreen infotainment system, both the Skoda Slavia and Kushaq Style variants now also come with electrically adjustable front seats and footwell illumination. Other features that are common to both models include an 8-inch digital driver’s display, a single-pane sunroof, and ventilated front seats. The Ambition Plus variant of the Slavia also includes a built-in dashcam.

The Style variant of the Skoda Kushaq has undergone a change in its alloy wheels. It now features a simpler-looking set of silver alloy wheels, replacing the previously available dual-tone 17-inch alloy wheels. However, the Monte Carlo edition of the Kushaq still retains the 5-spoke dual-tone 17-inch wheels. Both designs of the alloy wheels are referred to as VEGA by Skoda.

Both the Skoda Slavia and Kushaq offer two engine options. There’s a 1-litre turbo-petrol engine that comes with a choice of a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. There’s also a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).

The starting prices for the Skoda Slavia and Kushaq are Rs 10.89 lakh (ex-showroom pan India).

Facelifted Mahindra XUV300 Caught On Camera Again Revealing Two New Details

The latest spy shot reveal an XUV700-inspired floating touchscreen system and a fresh set of alloy wheels

  • Exterior revisions are expected to include a split grille setup and connected taillights.

  • It should also get a heavily updated cabin.

  • New features could consist of a digital driver’s display and ventilated front seats.

  • Likely to continue with the same engine options as the current model; might get a torque converter unit instead of an AMT option.

  • It is expected to go on sale by early next year, and could be priced from Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards.

The facelifted Mahindra XUV300 is under development and another test mule of the SUV has been spotted. Though it was draped in heavy camouflage,  a couple of new details are still visible on both exterior and interior. Let’s have a look at what these details are hinting us at.

What’s Visible Under The Wrap?

At a first glance, the most noticeable change on the test mule is the new design of the alloy wheels. Also, if you try to peek inside of the test mule, a new floating touchscreen is visible, which looks inspired from its bigger sibling, the XUV700.

The updated XUV300 will also get comprehensive changes on both front and rear ends, including refreshed split grille setup, bonnet and bumper. At the rear, the boot lid now looks more muscular than before, and the license plate has been repositioned for a better look.  We also expect it to feature XUV700 inspired C-shaped LED DRLs and LED headlights upfront, and connected LED tail light setup at the rear.

Amenities To Expect

Mahindra XUV300 Cabin

The facelifted XUV300 will likely feature a big floating touchscreen setup running Mahindra’s latest operating system, a digital driver’s display, a 360-degree camera, wireless phone charger and ventilated front seats. Some existing features such as a single-pane sunroof and cruise control should likely be retained.

The safety kit on the new facelifted subcompact SUV will be carried over from the existing model, which includes up to six airbags, ABS with EBD, all-wheel disc brakes and a rearview camera.

What Will Propel It?

Mahindra XUV300 Engine

The 2024 XUV300 should come with the same engine options as the current model, which are a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine (110PS/200Nm) and a 1.5-litre diesel engine (117PS/300Nm). Both engines are mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed AMT. Mahindra also offers a 1.2-litre TGDi turbo-petrol engine (130PS/250Nm), which is only available with the 6-speed manual. We believe that Mahindra could provide a torque converter unit instead of the currently available AMT gearbox on the facelifted SUV.

Launch, Expected Price & Rivals

The facelifted Mahindra XUV300 is expected to be launched by early 2024, at  a starting price of Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom). It will continue its rivalry with the likes of the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Brezza and Kia Sonet.

New Design of Hyundai i20 N Line Spotted for the First Time on Camera

The hatchback sports a fresh set of alloy wheels with red brake callipers among other changes

2023 Hyundai i20 N Line spied

  • In 2021, Hyundai introduced the N Line division in India with the i20 hatchback.

  • The updated i20 N Line was spotted with partial black camouflage alongside two other refreshed i20 models.

  • Earlier spy shots revealed the same black upholstery with contrast red stitching as the current i20 N Line.

  • The regular variants of the i20 hatchback may come with paddle shifters and a new Verna-like 2-spoke steering wheel among other features.

  • The facelifted Hyundai i20 N Line is expected to be released in the second half of 2023, likely at a higher price than the current model.

Only a week after the facelifted Hyundai i20 was spotted testing in India, the refreshed version of the i20 N Line has now been seen for the first time. The updated hatchback was caught on camera alongside two other refreshed i20 models which were all partially camouflaged to hide the tweaks. It was introduced in India by Hyundai as the first model with the N Line treatment in 2021.

The New Design of Hyundai i20 N Line

Despite the front and rear of the new facelifted i20 N Line being concealed by black camouflage, its profile revealed the same red side skirts as the current i20 N Line. The vehicle was also spotted with a new design of alloy wheels, featuring a red brake calliper and an “N” badge on the hubcaps. Among the regular i20 variants seen during the testing, one had steel wheels with covers, while the other in silver paint sported the same new alloy wheel design.

The refreshed i20 N Line may also have the same enhancements as the recently released European facelift model, which includes updated bumpers and multi-reflector LED headlights. The upgraded rear of the i20 N Line may also come with a connected LED taillight system.

Interior Details

Although the images only showed black upholstery with contrast red stitching in the new facelifted i20 N Line’s cabin, another spy image gave a glimpse of the dashboard in one of the regular i20 variants. It revealed paddle shifters, a new 2-spoke steering wheel like that in the 6th-generation Verna, and the same in-car dashcam and touchscreen setup as before.

Hyundai may offer the i20 N Line with new features, such as ventilated front seats and ambient lighting, which are expected to feature on the updated standard model. They may also retain current features such as wireless phone charging, a 10.25-inch touchscreen, connected car technology, and auto climate control. The safety feature is likely to include up to six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), and a reversing camera.

Possible Engine

The upgraded i20 N Line may continue to use the same 1-litre turbo-petrol engine (120PS/172Nm) and offer the current 6-speed iMT (clutchless manual) and 7-speed DCT (dual-clutch transmission).

Expected Release and Price

We anticipate that the facelifted i20 N Line will hit the market during the latter part of 2023, and it may be launched in conjunction with the updated i20. Its price range is sure to be higher than the current model, with the turbo versions of the Tata Altroz being its direct competitors.
