Rusty To Risqué: Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60 Gets EV Swap And Restoration

There’s a growing trend of converting classic vehicles into electric vehicles (EVs), and this trend includes retro Land Rovers, Porsches, and Mercedes-Benz models. And now, the Japanese firms Tonox and Flex are showcasing a restored Land Cruiser FJ60 with an electric motor at the Japan Mobility Show.

In the photo gallery, you can see that the companies started with a dilapidated FJ60. The vehicle had rust holes, bad paint, and missing parts. The team removed all the panels, and the frame was separated from the body. Interestingly, the SUV had a decal on the back featuring the message, “Art is long, life is short.”
