Porsche’s “Race Car Formula” Applied To Vision 357 R Concept

The Porsche Vision 357 made its debut in January 2023 as part of Porsche’s 75th anniversary celebration. It reimagines the classic 356 model for the modern world, utilizing the underpinnings of a 718 Cayman GT4 RS. Now, artist Hakosan Design has created a new rendering of a track version of the Vision 357.

The Vision 357 R is purely a speculative design. There is no indication that Porsche plans to build a concept like this. However, Hakosan Design has applied Porsche’s particular formula for its track-focused vehicles to this rendering.

Design Details

In the rendering, the Vision 357 R features vertically-oriented headlights on the outer corners, a departure from the circular lamps hidden behind perforated sections in the original concept. The track version also includes a large vent in the hood to channel air from the lower fascia over the hood and to the rear wing. Louvers are present on top of the fenders as well.

On the sides, the front fenders are wider and the wheels are larger, with a copper finish and Y-shaped spokes. Unlike the original concept’s rear-facing cameras, this rendering incorporates traditional side mirrors.

Overall, the Vision 357 R concept embodies Porsche’s racing heritage and combines it with modern design elements to create an exciting track-focused vehicle.
