Porsche Macan EV Seen Testing with Clever Camouflage to Appear Undisguised

The release of the next Macan model was originally scheduled for this year, but Porsche had to delay its launch to 2024 due to unforeseen software issues. CEO Oliver Blume announced the delay in an interview with German business newspaper Automobilwoche in July 2022. Later that year, Porsche confirmed in its Initial Public Offering (IPO) shares prospectus that the electric vehicle (EV) would take longer to hit the market.

Now, in August 2023, spy shots have captured the all-electric Macan being tested on a rainy day, presumably during the final stages of testing. Although it may seem undisguised, Porsche has cleverly applied body-colored camouflage to create the illusion that the EV is not disguised. The split headlight design is still visible, but stickers have been placed on the upper-mounted, four-point LEDs. The front bumper appears to be uncovered, revealing what appears to be the production-ready design.
