  • This latest accolade adds to the collection of prestigious titles received by the Avenger

At the 2024 Electrifying.com Awards, the fully electric Jeep Avenger was named ‘Urban Electric Car of the Year’.

The winning electric vehicles were chosen for their exceptional accomplishments and advancements in the mobility sector.

A panel of experienced electric car journalists selected the Avenger, praising its ideal size for urban settings and its highly efficient electric powertrain.

Ginny Buckley, Founder and CEO of Electrifying.com, stated: “The Jeep Avenger is a breath of fresh air and we love the way Jeep has reinvented itself for the electric age. The styling is unmistakably Jeep, yet it’s the same size as a supermini, making it perfectly at home in an urban environment. It’s a fun package that buyers of all ages will love, and it scores highly on battery efficiency giving potential owners peace of mind when it comes to how far they can travel.”

Kris Cholmondeley, Managing Director of Jeep UK, commented: “Jeep is thrilled by the continued industry recognition of the fully-electric Avenger – a testament of the compact SUV’s position at the forefront of the brand’s European market offering. The Avenger represents a significant forward step towards the next generation of fully electrified Jeep SUVs.”

This latest award from Electrifying.com adds to a series of accolades already secured by the Avenger, including European Car of the Year 2023 (ECOTY) and Best Family SUV (WWCOTY).

The Jeep Avenger is a compact SUV in the fast-growing B-SUV segment, the second-largest European segment in terms of volume. Designed and built as a Jeep from day one, the Avenger combines Jeep DNA in a compact SUV with a unique blend of capability, style, functionality, and technology.

With an electric range of up to 249 miles on the combined WLTP cycle*, the electric powertrain combines a new 400-volt electric motor with 156hp and 260Nm of torque with a new 54kWh battery pack.

The launch of the Jeep Avenger in Europe marks the beginning of the next phase of the brand’s electrification journey, with four all-electric models due to launch by 2025. By 2030, all new Jeep vehicles sold in Europe will be all-electric.

The all-new, fully-electric Jeep Avenger is available to order now from £35,700 OTR. For more information or to locate the nearest Jeep retailer, visit www.jeep.co.uk.
