# Honda Elevate To Launch Tomorrow: Here’s What We Know So Far
## Honda has revealed all the details of the Elevate, and units are already arriving at dealerships

The carmaker is bringing a brand new model after six years, the last one being the WR-V in 2017. Its bookings have already been underway, while the deliveries are expected to commence soon after the price announcement.

The Elevate offers the best-in-class height and ground clearance. It also offers the second largest boot space among its rivals, after the C3 Aircross’ 511-litres capacity.

The Elevate uses the Honda City’s tried-and-tested 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine. The motor is tuned to develop 121PS and 145Nm, while being paired with 6-speed manual and CVT transmissions. Instead of a strong-hybrid option, the Elevate SUV is getting an electric version by 2026.

We’re expecting the Honda Elevate to be priced from around Rs 11 lakh, which will make its starting price close to its rivals. Since there’s a single powertrain on offer, its top-end variant can undercut its competitors, which are offered with multiple engine options.
## Features Check
Honda has equipped the Elevate with features such as LED projector headlamps, 17-inch alloy wheels, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch digital driver’s display, electric sunroof, and wireless charger. It may not be on par with the segment leaders in terms of comforts, but it covers all the bases.
## Safety Check
In terms of safety, it’s packed with up to six airbags, a rear parking camera, lane-watch camera, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and ESP with hill hold assist. Active safety is taken care of by adaptive driver assistance systems (ADAS), which includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and autonomous emergency braking.
Honda internally crash-tested the Elevate which revealed that it will score a strong safety rating score from NCAPs. The City is a 5-star safety rated car (as per ASEAN NCAP), while the Amaze, Jazz, and fourth-generation City have scored four stars from the older GNCAP tests. We believe the Elevate could be the next 5-star safety rated contender in the compact SUV space, after the Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun.
