Hero MotoCorp, a well-known motorcycle manufacturer in India, has been making headlines recently for its collaboration with Harley-Davidson to launch the X440, the smallest and only single-cylinder engine model in Harley-Davidson’s current lineup. In September 2023, Hero MotoCorp sold a total of 536,499 two-wheelers, marking an impressive three-percent growth compared to the same period in 2022, when the brand sold 519,980 motorcycles. This growth is significant considering the already saturated market.

In September 2023, Hero MotoCorp experienced an increase in motorcycle sales, with 494,270 units sold, a growth of 14,033 units compared to September 2022, when 480,237 units were sold. Similarly, scooter sales also saw year-on-year growth, reaching 42,229 units in September 2023 compared to 39,743 units in September 2022. Overall domestic sales for September 2023 reached 519,789 units, surpassing the 507,690 units sold in September 2022. Additionally, the company witnessed growth in exports, with 16,710 units exported in September 2023, compared to 12,290 units in September 2022.

India is heading into the peak festive season, with the annual Festival of Lights, Diwali, taking place from November 10 to 14, 2023. During this season, companies witness a surge in sales, and employees receive their yearly bonuses, increasing their buying power significantly. Hero MotoCorp foresees even higher demand in October and November 2023. The company is also planning to launch several new models in the coming months, so stay tuned for further updates.
