Goodyear Introduces New Wrangler Boulder MT Tire for Off-Roading

Goodyear has added a new tire to its Wrangler all-terrain lineup, and it certainly looks aggressive. The new Wrangler Boulder MT features an aggressive tread pattern and three-ply Duraply Technology to protect the sidewalls when navigating rocky or muddy terrains.

The exact details of Duraply Technology are not provided by Goodyear, but it is said to add protection to both the sidewalls and the tread. The large blocks and deep grooves in the tread help in challenging conditions like mud and sand, while also preventing the accumulation of stones.

The Wrangler Boulder MT is designed for off-road enthusiasts seeking to conquer extreme terrains. According to Michiel Kramer, Goodyear’s Director of Product Marketing, the tire is engineered to offer long-lasting performance and versatility without compromising handling or performance.

The Boulder MT is positioned as Goodyear’s flagship tire, surpassing the aggressive Wrangler DuraTrac and Territory MT models. The tire comes in 17 sizes, suitable for rims ranging from 15 to 22 inches. The outside diameter starts at 31 inches and goes up to 37 inches.

It is not specified whether the Boulder MT will be offered as original equipment for particular vehicles. However, Goodyear mentions that it fits well on popular models such as the Ford Bronco, Jeep Wrangler, Chevrolet Silverado, and Toyota Tacoma. In the past, Ford requested Goodyear to remove the Wrangler branding from the Bronco’s factory tires due to its association with Jeep. But given the aggressive appearance of these new tires, Bronco owners might not mind having visible “Wrangler” lettering while tackling rugged terrains.
