The Suzuki Jimny, a small off-roader beloved by many but unfortunately not available in America, is often considered a forbidden fruit. It shares this status with the iconic Peugeot 205 GTI. In a recent Carwow video, these two legends go head-to-head in a drag race to determine which one is the fastest.

The modified Jimny featured in the race is equipped with a turbocharger, boosting the power of its 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine to 165 horsepower and 143 pound-feet (195 Newton meters) of torque. With an upgraded suspension, though it’s the heaviest contender at 2,336 pounds (1,060 kilograms), the Jimny is ready to take on its rival.
