The side profile showcases aerodynamically designed alloy wheels in sizes ranging from 17 to 19 inches. The rear of the van has minimal cosmetic changes with slight tweaks to the tail lamp design and windscreen detailing. Overall, the V-Class now has a more handsome and appealing appearance than its previous version.

The interior of the V-Class has undergone significant changes. It now features a new interior layout that matches the rest of the Mercedes-Benz lineup. The new V-Class comes with a host of features. It has a new-age Mercedes dual display setup with two 12.3-inch screens for the touchscreen system and virtual cockpit. The infotainment system is MBUX, which is the latest offering from Mercedes. The V-Class also offers convenience and relaxation features such as a heated steering wheel, 64-colour ambient lighting, electrically adjustable seats with lumbar support, and several driving assistant features including attention assist, active brake assist, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and parking assistant. Rear passengers are also treated to luxury with features like electrically sliding doors, tinted rear windows, USB chargers under the seats, and a huge panoramic sunroof. There’s also a Marco Polo edition that serves as a luxurious camper with reclining seats, a small kitchen, and storage compartments.

How About An Electric V-Class?

Mercedes has also unveiled the updated EQV, which is the electric version of the V-Class. However, the powertrain details of the EQV and the new V-Class are yet to be disclosed. There are also versions of the Vito and e-Vito that cater to the commercial segment. The expected range for the EQV is around 400 kilometres. The regular V-Class is likely to offer a choice of petrol and diesel engines with mild-hybrid technology.

Is It India-bound?

The previous version of the V-Class was launched in India in 2019 but was discontinued in 2022. It is expected that the updated V-Class will arrive in India in 2024 to compete with the Toyota Velfire. The starting price is estimated to be around Rs 90 lakh.
