2024 KTM 390 And 250 Dukes Set To Land In The US Soon

KTM has recently revealed the 2024 versions of its Duke series in the global market, showcasing a significant change in the styling of its bikes. The iconic split twin LED headlight, which made its debut in 2017, has been transformed into a more aggressive and alien-like design for the 2024 model-year, incorporating DRLs flanking either side of the headlight housing. Despite these stylistic changes, the beginner-friendly Duke models, the 390 and 250, are expected to be available in the US market for the 2024 model-year.

The KTM 390 Duke is known for its high-tech features, often not found in models of its class. The 2024 model-year version comes with a new engine, featuring a 399cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, single-cylinder unit delivering 44.3 horsepower and 28.8 pound-feet of torque.

In addition, the 2024 KTM 390 Duke includes a new two-piece frame design, intended to enhance rigidity and agility. The bike’s premium suspension hardware from WP is also worth noting, with a front fork that can be adjusted and a laterally mounted offset rear monoshock. Moreover, the electronic features of the bike are impressive, offering cornering ABS and traction control, as well as selectable ride modes via a large five-inch full-color TFT display.

For those who find the KTM 390 Duke too powerful and advanced, the 250 Duke will also be available in the US for the 2024 model-year. Similar in styling to the 390 Duke, the 250 Duke offers reduced performance and technology for a more accessible and affordable package.

Powered by a 249cc, SOHC, single-cylinder engine generating 30.8 horsepower, the 250 Duke comes with a six-speed manual transmission with a slipper clutch. Unlike its more powerful sibling, the suspension system on the 250 Duke is non-adjustable, and the bike’s five-inch TFT display serves solely as an instrument cluster without selectable ride modes.
