Toyota Recalls Certain 2023 Tundra and Tundra Hybrid Models

PLANO, Texas (September 13, 2023) Toyota is conducting a safety recall for certain 2023 Tundra and Tundra Hybrid vehicles in the United States. This recall affects approximately 21,780 vehicles.

The issue stems from system errors that resulted in the vehicles equipped with a Toyota Genuine spray-on bed liner accessory receiving a load-carrying-capacity modification label that does not meet federal requirements. Overloading a vehicle beyond its load carrying capacity may increase the risk of a crash.

To address this issue, Toyota dealers will replace the load carrying capacity modification label with an updated one at no cost to owners. Customers will be notified by Toyota before the middle of November 2023.
