Acura, a renowned luxury vehicle manufacturer, has introduced its inaugural all-electric SUV – the 2024 Acura ZDX and ZDX Type S. These models were showcased at various prestigious events during Monterey Car Week, highlighting Acura’s commitment to an electrified future.
The new ZDX is an exhilarating addition to Acura’s lineup. The ZDX Type S, in particular, stands out with its estimated 500 horsepower, making it the most powerful Acura SUV to date. The ZDX range starts at $60,000 for the ZDX A-Spec single-motor, offering options for both rear-wheel-drive and dual-motor all-wheel-drive configurations.
The ZDX is expected to receive an EPA range rating of 325 zero-emission miles in its A-Spec single-motor configuration. It comes equipped with new features such as Google integration and Bang & Olufsen luxury audio. The Type S variant includes AcuraWatch 360+ with Hands-Free Cruise for advanced safety.
Designed at the Acura Design Studio in Los Angeles, the ZDX introduces Acura’s latest design language. This forward-thinking design was previewed by the Precision EV Concept, setting the stage for the next era of Acura’s brand aesthetics.
The ZDX Type S starts at a price range of $70,000, showcasing a performance-oriented dual-motor AWD powertrain. Performance-focused aspects of the Type S model include near 50-50 weight distribution and Brembo brakes.
