Munich. The BMW Group will showcase its ongoing transformation in the areas of electrification, digitalisation, and circularity at the IAA Mobility 2023 international motor show in Munich. The event will feature the latest models with electrified powertrains from BMW, MINI, and BMW Motorrad, as well as Vision Vehicles and concepts for future mobility. The highlight of the show will be the unveiling of the BMW Vision Neue Klasse, which represents the company’s expertise in the future of mobility.

The IAA Mobility show is an opportunity for the BMW Group to engage in discussions about the future of individual mobility with local residents, visitors, and stakeholders. The event will take place from September 5 to 10, 2023, at the exhibition centre and the BMW Group’s Open Space in Munich. Visitors will have the chance to see the BMW Vision Neue Klasse, the fully electric BMW i5, the new fully electric MINI Cooper and MINI Countryman, and the BMW CE 02 eParkourer.

Electric, digital, circular – the focus areas of the BMW Group.

The BMW Group’s presence at IAA Mobility 2023 will highlight its focus on electric, digital, and circular mobility. The company will showcase new models with electrified powertrains, digital innovations, and resource-efficient manufacturing. The BMW brand will introduce plug-in hybrid variants of the new BMW 5 Series, while MINI will unveil the new fully electric MINI Cooper and MINI Countryman. BMW Motorrad will showcase the new compact eParkourer, the BMW CE 02.

Locally emission-free mobility sets the theme for the models on show.

The models on display at the IAA Mobility show will emphasize locally emission-free mobility. BMW will present its entire electric lineup, including the BMW iX1, BMW i4, BMW i5, BMW iX, and BMW i7. The Open Space site will offer free admission to visitors from September 5 to 9, and BMW Welt will continue to provide an attractive destination for automotive enthusiasts during the event.

World premiere: the BMW Vision Neue Klasse.

The BMW Vision Neue Klasse will make its debut at IAA Mobility 2023. This Vision Vehicle represents BMW’s innovations in electrification, digitalisation, and circularity. It incorporates developments from the BMW i Vision Circular and the BMW i Vision Dee, combining them with new advancements in design, user experience, and powertrain technology.

World premiere: the plug-in hybrid variants of the new BMW 5 Series Sedan.

In addition to the fully electric BMW i5, BMW will showcase two plug-in hybrid models from the new BMW 5 Series Sedan range. These models feature state-of-the-art plug-in hybrid technology, resulting in increased output, improved efficiency, and extended electric range compared to the previous generation.

World premiere: the BMW i7 Protection.

BMW will present the new BMW i7 Protection, the world’s first certified protection sedan with an all-electric drive system. It meets all the requirements of class VR9 protection and combines integrated protection features with exceptional ride comfort, spaciousness, and dynamic performance. The BMW 7 Series Protection, equipped with a V8 engine, will also be showcased at the event.

Trailblazing: the BMW iX5 Hydrogen.

The BMW iX5 Hydrogen, based on the BMW X5, demonstrates the company’s innovative drive technology. This pilot series Sports Activity Vehicle uses hydrogen fuel-cell technology and offers zero tailpipe emissions, long-distance capabilities, and short refueling times. The BMW iX5 Hydrogen has the potential to serve as an additional pillar in the BMW Group’s future powertrain portfolio.
