Ola Electric, a major player in the EV sector in India, continues to lead the way in promoting the mass adoption of electric mobility. During Ola’s Customer Day on August 15, 2023, the brand unveiled its plans for the future, including four new electric motorcycles. Today, we will focus on the new models built on the S1 electric scooter platform.

New Ola S1X Electric Scooters.

Ola has expanded its S1 electric scooter lineup with the introduction of the S1 Pro Gen 2. This premium electric scooter offers impressive performance, range, and advanced technology. It is priced at Rs 147,499, or approximately $1,773 USD. The scooter features practical additions such as a flat floorboard for convenient storage of bags and a redesigned telescopic fork.

The updated Ola S1 Pro Gen 2 is equipped with an 11-kilowatt electric motor, providing approximately 15 horsepower. The scooter is capable of reaching a top speed of 120 kilometers per hour (75 miles per hour) and can go from zero to 25 miles per hour in just 2.6 seconds. Ola Electric claims a real-world range of 195 kilometers (122 miles) per charge for the S1 Pro Gen 2.

In addition to the S1 Pro Gen 2, Ola Electric also offers a range of scooters in the budget-focused segment with the S1X lineup. These models provide an affordable alternative to commuters while still offering impressive technology and performance. The S1X lineup includes three models: the S1X+, S1X (2kWh), and S1X (3kWh). All three scooters are powered by a six-kilowatt electric motor (approximately eight horsepower), with variations in range and top speed.

The S1X+ and S1X (3kWh) models are equipped with a three-kilowatt-hour battery pack, providing a claimed range of 151 kilometers (94 miles) on a single charge. These models have a top speed of 90 kilometers per hour (56 miles per hour). The S1X (2kWh) model has a slightly smaller battery, offering a range of 57 miles and a top speed of 53 miles per hour. Pricing for the S1X range starts at Rs 89,999 ($1,081 USD) for the S1X (2kWh), Rs 99,999 ($1,202 USD) for the S1X (3kWh), and Rs 109,999 ($1,322 USD) for the S1X+.
