Citroen is offering the C3 Aircross with the choice of 5- and 7-seat configurations, but only for select variants

In recent years, the compact SUV segment has seen significant growth, with the introduction of models like the Skoda Kushaq-Volkswagen Taigun and the Honda Elevate. The Citroen C3 Aircross is now part of this segment, with prices starting from Rs 9.99 lakh up to Rs 12.45 lakh (introductory ex-showroom pan-India).

The C3 Aircross is available in three variants: You, Plus, and Max. Let’s take a look at each variant:

Citroen C3 Aircross You

Seating Option: 5-seater

The base-spec C3 Aircross You variant lacks front fog lamps, roof rails, front and rear skid plates, and alloy wheels (which are reserved for the top-spec Max). It also does not have the gloss-black panel connecting the taillights, gloss-black finish for the grille, and shark fin antenna.

The You variant features halogen headlights, body-colored front and rear bumpers, outside door handles, a rear spoiler, and gloss-black finish for the ORVMs with turn indicators. However, it does not offer a dual-tone roof option.

Inside, the C3 Aircross You has an all-black cabin theme with orange inserts on the dashboard and door armrests. It features two-tone fabric upholstery with contrast orange stitching, black inside door handles, electrically adjustable ORVMs, and all four power windows. Other features include a tilt-adjustable steering wheel, a 7-inch digital driver’s display, steering-mounted controls for the instrument cluster, and fixed headrests.

However, the base variant does not come with a basic music system. It has a rear center headrest (although fixed) and a lap belt instead of a proper 3-point seatbelt for the rear middle passenger.

Citroen C3 Aircross Plus

Seating Options: 5-seater, 7-seater (Flexi Pro)

The Plus variant, which is the mid-spec trim of the Citroen SUV, adds front and rear skid plates, LED DRLs, roof rails, and rear defogger compared to the base variant. It also features a gloss-black finish for the grille and black garnish connecting the taillights. The side remains the same as the base-spec variant. The dual-tone Plus variant comes with a black applique on the C-pillar for a floating-roof effect.

Additionally, Citroen offers the C3 Aircross with a Vibe pack for the Plus variant, which adds visual elements to the SUV. This pack includes body side molding, painted inserts in the upper and lower portions of the grille, roof rail garnish, front grille garnish, tailgate chrome garnish, front fog lamps, and painted ORVM housings.

The Plus variant features a black and grey cabin theme with a bronze insert on the dashboard. It also has silver finished inside door handles, steering wheel and AC vents, and around the gear lever. The major upgrade is the 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with steering-mounted audio and calling controls, and a 4-speaker music system.

Moreover, the Plus variant offers a 7-seat layout with removable third-row seats. In the 7-seater version, the SUV gains rear roof-mounted AC vents, a third-row bottle holder, a boot lamp, and third-row fast charging ports (X2). The second-row seats have 1-touch tumble feature and a reclinable backrest. Additionally, the 7-seater model has adjustable headrests for all passengers.

Citroen C3 Aircross Max

Seating Options: 5-seater, 7-seater

The top-spec Max variant of the C3 Aircross shares a resemblance to the Plus trim, but with a few differentiating elements. It features front fog lamps, alloy wheels, and a rear washer with wiper. The Max variant can also be chosen in a dual-tone finish, with a black applique on the C-pillar for the floating-roof effect. It includes the same exterior styling elements offered in the Vibe pack for the Plus variant.

The Max variant has a dual-tone interior theme, accompanied by leatherette upholstery. Other exclusive features of the Max variant include leatherette finish for the front and rear door armrests, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a rear center armrest with cup holders (5-seater only), a 4-speaker music system with two tweeters, and a reversing camera.

Customer deliveries for the Citroen C3 Aircross will begin on October 15. It competes with models like the Hyundai Creta, Honda Elevate, Kia Seltos, Toyota Hyryder, Maruti Grand Vitara, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, and MG Astor.
