Building a scale model car from a kit is one thing. But creating a highly detailed 1:5 scale replica from scratch is a whole different level. That’s exactly what Lothar Wunsche did, and he didn’t stop at just one. In his unique collection, he has over 20 Porsche race cars, each one meticulously built by himself using basic tools like a drill and a jigsaw, along with his incredible talent and a lot of patience.

Lothar’s passion for Porsche and model making began in the late 1970s when he was a resident of East Germany. During that time, it wasn’t easy to attend races in the region due to the Soviet era. However, Lothar managed to visit a race track where he had the opportunity to meet people from Porsche’s race team. It was there that he got up close to Porsche cars, and that experience left a lasting impression on him.
