Hongqi is one such brand that has gained recognition for creating some of the finest Chinese cars. However, collaborations with Asian, European, and North American automakers are still prevalent in many cases.

This may be the first time you’ve heard of this brand, but one important fact to note is that it is China’s oldest passenger car manufacturer. Currently owned by the FAW Group, it gets its name from the Chinese words meaning “red flag.” Positioned as a mid-size sedan, the H5 is below the company’s flagship model, the H9.
