Kristian Elvefors, who has served as the Managing Director of Volvo Car UK for four years, will be stepping down from his position. Taking over the role will be Nicole Melillo Shaw, currently the company’s Commercial Operations Director, effective from 1 November 2023.

After leading Volvo Car UK since June 2019, Elvefors has decided to pursue a new opportunity outside of Volvo Cars and the automotive industry. He expressed his pride in working with a dedicated team during a critical time of transition for the company. Together, they successfully transformed Volvo Cars’ first global market from wholesale to retail operations, with the full support of their retailer partners.

Melillo Shaw, who joined Volvo Car UK in March 2020 as the Consumer Director, brings 18 years of experience in senior marketing roles with renowned brands. In June 2022, she transitioned to her current position as the Commercial Operations Director. She expressed her excitement for the future challenges and opportunities and looks forward to working closely with the wider Volvo Car UK business and their retailer partners, ensuring the consumer remains the central focus.

Elvefors will remain with the company until the end of the year to facilitate a smooth transition of leadership.
