The Nissan Electric Car We Want to See in America

The Nissan Sakura, a compact electric car currently available in Japan, has caught our attention. While its range of 111 miles may not be suitable for long road trips, it is perfect for daily commuting. Plus, with a fast charger, the car can be fully charged in just 40 minutes.

With a single electric motor producing 63 horsepower, the Sakura can reach a top speed of 80 mph. Not bad for a car that measures just over 11 feet long.

In terms of pricing, the base model of the Sakura is priced at around $15,600, making it the most affordable electric vehicle in the United States and the cheapest new car overall, even cheaper than the Nissan Versa.

While we acknowledge that a car with limited range and modest performance may not be in high demand in the United States, the Sakura’s attractive design and sub-$20,000 price tag still make it an appealing option.
