The updated Audi Q8 has made its first appearance in the performance-focused SQ8 version at the Geneva International Motor Show Qatar. The vehicle will be available for sale later this month.

The Audi Q8 flagship SUV has undergone significant technology upgrades, improved quality, and simplified exterior design.

The new Audi Q8 range starts from £75,500 and is available in three core specifications in the UK: S Line, Black Edition, and Vorsprung. It offers a selection of petrol and diesel powertrains. The top model in the range is the performance-focused Audi SQ8, available in Black Edition and Vorsprung variants.

The S Line entry-level models come equipped with electric sports seats, keyless go, a digital cockpit, a head-up display, four-zone climate control, and a premium Bang & Olufsen sound system, all as standard.

The Black Edition models, priced from £80,050, feature black trim inside and out, including 22-inch wheels, door mirrors, and Audi badges.

Priced from £99,300, the high-spec Vorsprung models come with additional features such as a panoramic sunroof, all-wheel steering, powerful LED headlights, leather upholstery, massage seats, heated rear seats, and power-closing doors.

The powerful SQ8, priced from £97,245, boasts unique exterior styling and comes standard with 23-inch alloy wheels, Quattro all-wheel drive, adaptive air sports suspension, and parking assistance.

Following the example set by the recently updated Audi Q8 E-tron, the Audi SQ8 has received subtle styling changes, including matrix LED lights, smoother surfacing, larger front air intakes for a more aggressive appearance, and an upgraded exhaust system for an enhanced engine sound.

The most noticeable visual change is the redesigned grille, which features vertical inlays with a brushed aluminum effect specific to Audi’s flagship models. Higher-trim cars have color-coded body trim for a more streamlined look.

Bugatti EB112 Turns 30 As Four-Door Supercar That Never Went Into Production

The Bugatti EB112 was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1993, captivating the automotive industry with its striking design and innovative features. Even though it never made it to mass production, its impact is still felt 30 years later. The EB112 featured an all-aluminum body and carbon fiber chassis, which it shared with the EB110 sports car.

Initially, the unconventional aesthetics of the four-door supercar received mixed reviews. However, it soon gained recognition and was even hailed as “The most beautiful car in the world” by Automobile Magazine upon its debut. Unfortunately, due to the bankruptcy of Bugatti Automobili S.p.A. in 1995, the EB112 remained just a concept car. Nevertheless, it played a significant role in shaping Bugatti’s modern-day design and aesthetic components.

The Geneva International Motor Show Qatar Will Have 30 Brands

The highly-anticipated Geneva International Motor Show (GIMS) Qatar, which will take place in Doha this October, is set to become a benchmark for automotive expos worldwide. The debut show will feature an impressive lineup of global brands, groundbreaking product premieres, and industry-leading innovation. The event aims to complement Doha’s existing lineup of international events, including the 2023 Formula 1 Qatar Grand Prix, and enhance Qatar’s growing reputation as a global events hub.

Qatar Tourism, in partnership with GIMS, has announced that the inaugural event will host 30 esteemed automotive brands. This marks the first time that GIMS will be held outside of its home country, and it reflects Qatar’s increasing appeal as an international event destination. The list of exhibitors, which will feature a range of exotic cars, will be announced on GIMS’ social media channels in the coming weeks.

Visitors to GIMS Qatar can expect to witness ten exclusive product premieres, providing a unique opportunity to experience the latest innovations in the automotive industry. In addition to the state-of-the-art Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC), the event will be hosted across four other venues, offering a diverse and immersive festival experience.

Berthold Trenkel, Chief Operating Officer at Qatar Tourism, expressed excitement about hosting GIMS Qatar, stating that Qatar’s exceptional hotels, captivating landmarks, and strong event organization capabilities make it the perfect location for the first-ever GIMS event outside of Switzerland.

The timing of GIMS Qatar coincides with the 2023 Qatar Grand Prix, promising an adrenaline-filled week for all motor enthusiasts. The full program for GIMS Qatar will include a wide range of activities, such as a car design forum showcasing the future of automotive design, off-road adventure experiences, and a gallery featuring classic automobiles.

Qatar, with its strategic central location, world-class facilities, and progressive tourism policies, is quickly becoming a preferred destination for global events. Sandro Mesquita, CEO of GIMS, expressed optimism about GIMS Qatar, highlighting its role in bridging the gap between the thriving automotive industries in the East and West and establishing itself as the premier motor show for the Middle East.

Looking ahead, GIMS is already accepting exhibitor registrations for its 100th-anniversary show in Geneva in February 2024. The milestone event will celebrate automotive innovation both past and future under the tagline ‘Auto. Future. Now.’

As GIMS Qatar prepares to make its grand entrance in Doha, it ushers in a new era of international automotive exhibitions. With its impressive lineup of events, the show is set to captivate auto enthusiasts and solidify Qatar’s position as a key player on the global stage for events.

Experience the Thrilling Journey of Bugatti Chiron Climbing a Mountain in First-Person Perspective

The Bugatti Chiron Sport, the first variant of the renowned model, amazed car enthusiasts when it made its debut at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. Packed with numerous upgrades compared to the standard version, this exceptional vehicle recently took on the breathtaking Oberalp Pass in Switzerland, and lucky for us, it was captured on video.

Even though it is a public road, the driver displayed impressive control throughout the ascent. However, the true highlight of the footage is the awe-inspiring sound of the engine. Bugatti decided not to enhance the powertrain compared to the standard Chiron, but rather focused on improving other aspects of the vehicle. This includes a new dynamic handling package, a revamped suspension, and stiffer shock absorbers – all of which are essential for conquering this kind of challenging road.
