Italian motorcycle manufacturer, Italian Volt, is preparing to reveal its production-ready electric motorcycle, the Lacama 2.0. The advanced electric motorcycle was initially introduced as a concept in 2017 and has since undergone several revisions and improvements. It is now ready to make its global debut at EICMA on November 7, 2022.
The Lacama 2.0, designed and built entirely in Italy by Italian Volt, a brand under the Tazzari Group, is a testament to modern engineering. The company emphasizes that the bike is designed for discerning motorcyclists who desire every detail of their bike to be perfect. In addition to its impressive performance, the Lacama 2.0 offers a wide range of customization options.
The Italian Volt Lacama 2.0 features an ultra-lightweight, single-cast aluminum frame that is created in-house. This design ensures a compact yet powerful electric motorcycle. Customers have the freedom to customize their bike by choosing from 10 design variants for the front end and selecting a saddle design from a range of two-seater and single-seater options.
The bike distinguishes itself with a choice of 22 different frame and swingarm colors. The saddles, available in 20 eco-leather colors, offer exceptional comfort thanks to memory gel technology. Each Lacama 2.0 is uniquely numbered and adorned with a plate on both sides of the frame, with progressive numbers laser engraved on the rear plate holder frame.
On the technological side, Tazzari EV Technology’s Fluid Battery System is a standout feature. This innovation involves batteries with cells submerged in a dielectric liquid, enabling efficient cooling, heating, and fireproof insulation. The Lacama 2.0 is equipped with a powerful PMSM Axial Flux Motor, producing 150 horsepower and 230 Nm (161 pound-feet) of torque, all while weighing only 11 kg. The direct drive utilizes a reinforced high-density carbon fiber belt, ensuring smooth and efficient energy transfer.
The motorcycle maximizes its range and performance with a highly efficient energy system. Additionally, the Lacama 2.0 offers four riding modes – Rain, Eco, Sport, and Rocket – providing versatility and adaptability to various riding conditions and preferences.
