Disabling the auto-play “feature” on your Amazon Fire TV or Fire Stick is an easy process. Just follow these steps:

1. Go to the Home screen and select the Settings option.
2. In the Settings menu, choose Preferences and then select Featured Content.
3. Turn off the Allow Video Autoplay option.
4. Also, turn off the Allow Audio Autoplay option.
5. Return to the Home screen and check if auto-play has been disabled by scrolling over a video ad.

Please note that both Video and Audio auto-play must be turned off for this to work correctly. Double-check to ensure that neither option is left enabled before exiting the menu.
