Limited edition fountain pens and rollerballs pay homage to Automobili Lamborghini’s 60th anniversary
Sant’Agata Bolognese – July 17th 2023 – Automobili Lamborghini and Montegrappa, the renowned Italian leader in luxury pens, have teamed up to create the Automobili Lamborghini 60° collection. This limited edition collection of fountain pens and rollerballs draws inspiration from the design of the sixties super sports cars, celebrating Lamborghini’s 60th anniversary.
The Automobili Lamborghini 60° collection is a meticulously crafted Italian masterpiece, combining advanced materials, technical excellence, and futuristic design to pay tribute to this iconic Italian brand.
The collection consists of sixty fountain pens and sixty rollerballs, each available in six distinct Lamborghini colors: Arancio Apodis, Bianco Siderale, Verde Viper, Blu Aegeus, Grigio Titans, and Nero Noctis. In total, there are 720 pens with sleek surfaces, precise lines, and proportions that beautifully capture the essence of super sports car design.
The ultra-light hexagonal profile of the pen, made from aerospace aluminum and covered in forged carbon fiber, reflects the unmistakable Lamborghini style. The mechanical performance of these pens is top-notch, with the fountain pens featuring Montegrappa’s Power-Push system, allowing for quick ink-filling with just a single touch. Both models also have a unique release system that provides easy access to the ink chamber. Drawing inspiration from the iconic Lamborghini aeronautical-inspired red toggle start button, there is a red alloy snap switch at the base of the pens that activates a mechanism integrated into the luxury writing instrument.
Additional features of the collection include a threadless, safety-locking cap, a black alloy Y-clip with a Lamborghini stamp, and a hexagonal plate bearing the 60th anniversary emblem of the automaker. The fountain pens boast a ruthenium-plated 18-karat gold nib engraved with the famous Automobili Lamborghini shield in gold. All pens come in a black 60th anniversary collector’s case.
The Automobili Lamborghini 60° collection will be available in September at selected retailers, boutiques, and on the official online shop montegrappa.com.
