Nissan Claims the New Armada Surpasses the Land Cruiser

Nissan unveiled several unconventional electric concepts at the 2023 Japan Mobility Show, but the journalists in attendance were eager to learn more about the new Armada. Known as the Patrol in many markets, this full-size SUV is considered outdated because its platform dates back to 2010. Fortunately, a next-generation model is on its way, and it promises to be well worth the wait.

Ivan Espinosa, Nissan’s senior vice president of global product strategy and product planning, spoke to CarExpert and revealed that the Armada will be elevated to compete with more luxurious large SUVs. He pinpointed the Toyota Land Cruiser as a direct competitor, confidently stating, “The Armada is much better than the Land Cruiser. Once you drive it, we can discuss it further.”
