Lotus is gearing up for the 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed, where it will make its biggest appearance to date. The British automaker will feature its entire lineup of cars, including the Eletre, Emira, and Evija, with the aim of captivating performance car enthusiasts. This year is particularly significant for Lotus as it celebrates its 75th anniversary in an unprecedented way. One of the highlights of the festival will be the ‘Lotus Moment,’ a special parade of both past and present Lotus cars, paying homage to the brand’s storied legacy.

Among the models on display, the highly anticipated Eletre, an all-electric SUV, will have its dynamic debut at the festival. Designed to cater to a new generation of Lotus customers, the Eletre combines practicality, versatility, and the iconic Lotus design DNA. Visitors can expect to see the advanced all-electric powertrain and driver-focused tech of the Eletre demonstrated twice a day by Lotus’ Customer Experience team.

Another notable debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed is the 2.0-liter four-cylinder Emira, which marks the expansion of the Emira range. Customer deliveries of the four-cylinder Emira will begin later this year, representing a pivotal moment in Lotus history as it will be the brand’s last gasoline-powered car.

Attendees of the festival will have the opportunity to witness the Eletre, Emira, Emira V6, and electric hypercar Evija in action during the iconic Hill Climb. Mike Johnstone, Group Vice-President and Chief Commercial Officer of Lotus, expressed his pride in the brand’s significant presence at the festival, emphasizing that the current range of cars pays tribute to Lotus’ heritage.

In addition to the exhilarating Hill Climb, the Lotus stand will be a hub of activity throughout the weekend. This includes a live Q&A session with Jenson Button, who will also be driving a Lotus Evija during the Hill Climb. The festival will also feature live recordings of The Smoking Tire podcast and daily presentations of the Eletre’s advanced audio system by experts from KEF.

This year, Lotus commemorates its anniversary by embracing the future while honoring its past. The brand’s bold display at the 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed promises to showcase the transformation of Lotus and provide an electrifying experience for all car enthusiasts in attendance.
