How to Adjust Your Android Device for Daylight Savings

By default, your Android device will automatically adjust its date, time, and time zone for Daylight Savings and in general, as long as it is connected to a wireless or Wi-Fi signal. However, you can enable or disable this automatic changeover from your Android’s settings. If it’s disabled, you can manually change the details.

To start, follow these steps to locate your Android’s date and time settings:

  1. Open your Android’s built-in Clock app. If you have a clock widget on your Home screen, you can open the Clock app by tapping the current time on it.

  2. In the Clock app, tap the three dots in the top-right.

  3. Tap Settings.

  4. Tap Change date & time to open your Android’s Date & time settings.

  5. To enable or disable automatic adjustments, tap the Set time automatically toggle.

If you disable the Set time automatically toggle, you can manually change the date and time on your phone by tapping the Date and Time options, respectively. With the toggle disabled, it won’t update to the local time automatically. Remember to set your clock back one hour for the end of Daylight Savings.
