Audi A6 Avant E-Tron Spotted With Final Lights and Production Body

In the world of electric cars, SUVs dominate the market while sedans and hatchbacks make occasional appearances. However, electric wagons are a rare find. Some examples include the Peugeot e-308 SW, Opel Astra Sports Tourer Electric, Nio ET5 Touring, MG5, and Porsche Taycan Sport/Cross Turismo. Although these long-roof EVs might not seem limited in number, they are not widely available in all markets. Fortunately, more all-electric wagons are on the horizon, such as the upcoming Audi A6 Avant E-Tron.

Unlike the current A6 Avant model, this new electric wagon will be built on the PPE platform. Developed jointly by Audi and Porsche, this platform aims to support dedicated electric models. In comparison, BMW’s future competitor, the BMW i5 Touring, will utilize the same platform as the conventionally-powered Touring model of the upcoming 5 Series, which is set to be released next year.
