Apple Releases Easy-to-Use Security Updates for Mac, iPhone, and iPad

Updating your iPhone, iPad, or Mac with the latest security patch is a simple process. However, it does require a restart after the download is complete. So, if you’re in the middle of something important, make sure to finish or save and quit before starting the update.

Here’s how to update your iPhone and iPad:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Select General.
  3. Tap Software Updates.
  4. When the iOS Security Response 16.5.1 (a) update appears, tap Download and Install to start the update.

For updating your Mac:

  1. Click the Apple icon in the top-left corner.
  2. Select System Preferences.
  3. Select General.
  4. Select Software Update.
  5. Wait for your Mac to find the new 13.4.1 (a) update.
  6. Click the Update Now button to begin the installation.

Don’t worry about manually updating Safari on your Mac. Installing the security update for macOS will also take care of Safari at the same time.
