The side profile remains unchanged, showcasing the same muscular stance and sloping roofline. The rear also features minor changes, including new LED tail lights and a tweaked bumper.
Richer Interiors
The new GLC’s cabin takes inspiration from the new C-Class, giving it a classier and more upscale appearance. It features a dual-tone shade with glossy grey applique, adding to its elegance. The turbine-styled AC vents are new and add a quirky touch to the interior design.
High On Features
The new GLC comes with several notable feature upgrades. It boasts a brand new portrait-styled 11.9-inch MBUX-powered touchscreen infotainment system and a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display. Other features include dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, a Burmester 3D sound system, heated and powered front seats, and 64-color ambient lighting. In terms of safety, it is equipped with seven airbags, a 360-degree camera, and TPMS, with ADAS being optional.
Mildly-Electrified Powertrains
The new GLC retains the same petrol and diesel engines but now incorporates mild-hybrid technology. It is equipped with Mercedes’ 4MATIC all-wheel drivetrain with different drive modes, including an off-road mode. The petrol variant claims a fuel efficiency of 14.7kmpl, while the diesel variant offers up to 19.4kmpl.
The updated Mercedes-Benz GLC continues to compete against rivals such as the Audi Q5, BMW X3, and Volvo XC60.
