The new-generation Suzuki Swift has been officially revealed in Japan shortly after it debuted as a close-to-production concept. Suzuki recently revealed the powertrain details and many of the updated features of its new-gen compact hatchback. While the India-spec model will have its differences, much of the Japan-spec hatchback will make its way to our shores as well. Let’s explore all the changes it features over the outgoing model currently sold here:

Front

While the overall fascia remains familiar, the grille has been tweaked with a more rounded design, a new honeycomb pattern, a U-shaped chrome strip on the bottom half, and the Suzuki logo now placed on the bonnet. The headlights have also been revamped with L-shaped DRLs, and the bumper design has been completely changed with new housing for the LED fog lamps and a chrome strip at the bottom.

Side

The overall silhouette of the Swift remains the same, but the rear door handles are now mounted on the door instead of on the C-pillar, as in the India-spec version. Additionally, the 2024 version gets stylish dual-tone alloy wheels.

Rear

The changes to the rear are subtle but thorough. The tail lamps and boot lip have been slightly reworked for a sharper look. The bumper is brand new and features a black and chrome design with sleek reflector panels.

Dashboard

The dashboard has been changed to resemble the one found in the Maruti Baleno, Fronx, or Grand Vitara. It comes in a black-and-white dual-tone shade. The climate control panel is now the same as other Maruti models, and the AC vents are no longer rounded. The new dashboard also features a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an upgrade from the 7-inch one in the current Swift.

Front Seats

The 2024 Swift comes with all-black semi-leather seats with a new design pattern. These seats also have larger contours to support the passengers.

While the detailed specifications for the fourth-gen Suzuki Swift are yet to be revealed, we know that it will get an all-new petrol engine.
