Watch A Twin-Turbo C6 Corvette Devour Tsukuba Circuit Half-Sideways

Tsukuba Circuit is a monitor that the majority motorsports fanatics know nicely because of its distinguished inclusion in each the Forza Motorsports and Gran Turismo franchises. If you have lapped it just about, you realize it is a comparatively compact monitor that is deceptively exhausting to drive nicely as a consequence of its mixture of lengthy, sweeping corners and difficult hairpins.

In different phrases, for those who’ve received any familiarity with the course, you’d count on {that a} 2,640-pound carbon-kevlar-bodied C6 Corvette with a 427-cubic-inch, 1,300-horsepower V8 could be a handful on it. As it seems, you would be proper!

In this video, Feras Qartoumy wrings a few take a look at laps out of his World Time Attack-prepped C6 at Tsukuba Circuit, the place he rapidly discovers that the traction management is damaged. For the primary minute of the video earlier than the tires are as much as temp, you possibly can inform that the tires are breaking away utterly on straightaways in second gear. If that is not sufficient proof that this automobile is lots to deal with, Qartoumy has the C6 sideways out of just about each nook.

Despite this, with the tires (barely) warmed, he nonetheless units a blazingly quick time for a shakedown. A fast examine of the video runtime on his second lap reveals a lap time of round 54 seconds. That’s roughly two seconds off the Tsukuba lap report for a Formula Three automobile, and the Corvette continues to be technically thought of a manufacturing automobile.

That tracks for the ‘Vette. When Qartoumy ran Global Time Attack at Circuit of the Americas, he turned a 2:03.850, roughly ten seconds faster than a NASCAR cup automobile lap time. According to Qartoumy’s Instagram, he is set data at 28 totally different tracks — no phrase if Tsukuba is subsequent on his menu but or not, nevertheless it appear that if he desires to interrupt a report there, he is received greater than a combating probability at it.

Pro Circuit Introduces New Exhausts for GasGas, Husqvarna, and KTM 450s

Pro Circuit has released new exhaust models that are compatible with GasGas, Husqvarna, and KTM’s 450-class dirt bikes. If you’re looking for an upgrade in sound and performance, read on.

Pro Circuit now offers two exhaust models made with different materials: Stainless Steel (T-6) and titanium (Ti-6). Both models are designed for closed-course off-road racing and provide enhanced performance. However, it’s important to note that these exhausts meet AMA amateur noise requirements but not the FIM’s requirements, so they may not be suitable for FIM-sanctioned events. Additionally, only the titanium model (Ti-6) comes with a carbon fiber end cap, while the stainless steel versions come with a stainless steel end cap.

In addition to the full exhaust systems, there is also a slip-on version available in stainless steel, which is the most affordable option at $602.95 USD.

The full stainless exhaust system, which includes a header pipe with a high-flow catalyst, is priced at $1,002.95 USD.

The titanium system is the most expensive option, costing $1,269.95 USD, which is over $250 more than the full stainless package.

The Pro Circuit exhaust systems are compatible with the following models:

  • KTM 450 SX-F F.E. 2022 1/2
  • KTM 450 SX-F 2023
  • Husqvarna FC 450 F.E. 2022 1/2
  • Husqvarna FC 450 2023-2024
  • GasGas MC 450 F.E. 2023 1/2

CFMoto Teases New High-Performance Sportbikes At 2023 CFMoto Day

CFMoto recently unveiled two new models, the 500SR and 675SR, at the 2023 CFMoto Day event in Zhuzhou, China. These models are part of the SR range, which includes the 450SR, the most performance-oriented model currently available. The 500SR features a brand-new 500cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, inline-four-cylinder engine that has been in development for three years. Despite its small size, this engine boasts impressive features such as forged aluminum pistons, stretch-bolt connecting rods, and a low-inertia crankshaft for high-revving performance. CFMoto claims that the 500SR can reach speeds of over 230 kilometers per hour (144 miles per hour).

In addition to the 500SR, CFMoto also showcased the 675SR, which is their most performance-oriented bike to date. This supersport bike is powered by a three-cylinder engine that delivers over 100 horsepower. It is not yet known whether CFMoto developed the engine solely or if it incorporates technology from other bikes. However, 675cc engines have been popular in the sportbike market, with bikes like the MV Agusta F3 and Triumph Daytona and Street Triple using similar displacements.

CFMoto has not provided specific details about the launch plans for the 500SR and 675SR. However, it is expected that these groundbreaking models will be released globally. More information about these bikes is anticipated to be revealed soon.

Pro Circuit KTM300SX Exhaust: Product Review

Product: Pro Circuit faced a challenge with the 2023 KTM 300SX as many riders found the stock powerband to be too powerful. The bike has undergone significant changes for 2023, with the inclusion of an electronically controlled power valve and throttle-body fuel injection integrated with spark advance through the ECU. It also offers two maps accessible through a handlebar-mounted switch – a mild white map and a powerful green map. However, the two maps have different port timing, which was not possible with previous systems. Improving the exhaust system for a bike with so many variables is quite tricky. The Works pipe, manufactured by Pro Circuit for almost 40 years, is typical of their systems. It features a raw, unfinished steel exterior and uses all the original mounting hardware. We paired it with the Pro Circuit R304 stainless/aluminum silencer, which is part of the Shorty line, similar in length to the original but with a round shape instead of oval.

The R304 is a round Shorty silencer made of aluminum and stainless steel.

Our Take: The stock KTM 300SX can be quite challenging to handle, especially in the green map. It provides power comparable to a 450, but only briefly in the middle. The ramp-up is short before and after the power burst, requiring the rider to hold on tight and shift quickly. The white map offers an easier riding experience, but once you have experienced the sheer power of the more aggressive green map, it’s difficult to go back. With the addition of the Pro Circuit Works pipe and silencer, the KTM becomes more manageable in the green map without sacrificing power. The ramp-up now starts at lower RPM and the over-rev is slightly higher. In the middle range, it actually produces a little more power than the stock exhaust, while still being easy to handle. The exhaust note is slightly louder than the stock system, but it has a rich sound that we enjoy.

Racing against 450 four-strokes will still be a challenge for the 300SX. It requires a tighter grip, quicker shifting, and more precise throttle control. However, the Pro Circuit pipe is a step in the right direction, and we are impressed that it is already available for such a new bike. We also appreciate the raw steel finish, although it’s important to note that it requires regular maintenance to prevent rust (minimum with WD-40) and occasional cleaning with Scotch-Brite.

Price: $334.95 for the pipe, $171.95 for the silencer

PRO CIRCUIT KAWASAKI KX450: PROJECT BIKE SPOTLIGHT

Pro Circuit is known for their ability to build high-level competition bikes, even though they don’t have a 450cc factory race-team effort. They previously built a KX450 for Ken Roczen before he joined Suzuki, but unfortunately, that bike never made it onto a Supercross track. In this article, we will highlight the features of our own factory-level KX450 that we built in collaboration with Pro Circuit.

1. Throttle Syndicate designed the customized green and white graphics kit for our bike. The graphics are topped off with a matte finish, and the seat features a gripper material for added traction.

2. We fitted the bike with Twin Air’s PowerFlow kits, which are designed to ensure a leakproof fit. These kits include a rigid, lightweight, billet-aluminum cage, a billet-aluminum flange with a rubber seal, and a dual-stage air filter for optimal performance.

3. Pro Circuit’s Ti-6 titanium exhaust system was installed on our bike. This system is constructed of titanium throughout the head pipe, mid-pipe, and canister, with a carbon fiber end cap. It is designed to improve performance across the power curve.

4. For suspension, we used A-Kit Showa components both front and rear. The internal suspension tuning was done by Pro Circuit’s suspension department.

5. We upgraded the clutch components with Hinson’s billetproof clutch components. These components are CNC-machined in the USA from aircraft-quality T6 billet aluminum and are Akadized five times for enhanced wear resistance.

6. Our bike features Pro Circuit triple clamps, which are manufactured in the USA from 6061 billet aluminum. These triple clamps come with reversible bar mounts that allow for four different mounting positions.

7. We equipped our bike with Renthal Twinwall handlebars, which feature a patented design that utilizes two tubes for a combination of strength and comfort.

All Throttle Syndicate gripper seat covers are made in-house at their headquarters in Southern California. This white cover is constructed of durable rubberized gripper material and features additional green traction ribs that match the custom graphics.

Dunlop’s MX33 tires are designed featuring block-in-a-block technology for more aggressive cornering capabilities with a tread pattern and rubber compound to work well on a variety of terrain.

The peg, mounting bracket, and peg pin are precision CNC-machined out of billet titanium for strength and durability. Pro Circuit produces them in limited quantities for the race team, and occasionally makes them available to the public.

CNC-machined out of billet aluminum with included bearings, the Pro Circuit KX450 linkage system provides a plush feel at the beginning of the stroke and stiffens up as the rear wheel goes deeper into the stroke. This adjustment reduces the need for stiffer high-speed valving.

Toyota GR Corolla Circuit Edition Returns For 2024 With New Blue Paint

The Toyota GR Corolla Circuit Edition is making a comeback in 2024 with some exciting updates. This hot hatch stole the show when it was first introduced last year. The base Core model lacked features, and the Morizo Edition, although well-equipped, was expensive and limited to just 200 units in the US. But now, there’s good news for fans of this special edition. The GR Corolla Circuit Edition is back for 2024 and comes with a few new features.

One of the first things you’ll notice is the paint. The Circuit Edition now features the eye-catching Blue Flame hue, which is similar to the paint used on the GR86 and the base Corolla Hatchback for 2024. Additionally, the car is equipped with new 18-inch BBS wheels, previously seen on the Morizo Edition, which may be discontinued. The body of the Circuit Edition boasts a forged carbon roof, a larger rear spoiler, and new black graphics on the rocker panels that extend out to meet the “GR-FOUR” emblem.

The interior updates are more subtle but equally stylish. The cabin now includes blue stitching on the door panels, steering wheel, gear lever, and seats, adding a touch of sportiness to the design. The shift knob also features a new blue stripe down the center, matching the Blue Flame exterior. On the tech front, the eight-speed JBL premium audio system is now a standard feature.

Under the hood, there are no mechanical changes. The GR Corolla Circuit Edition still packs a punch. It retains the same turbocharged 1.6-liter three-cylinder engine from last year, generating an impressive 300 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. The powertrain is paired exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission and an adjustable all-wheel-drive system. The front and rear limited-slip differentials remain in place.
