2024 Lexus ES: More Tech, New Wheels, Starting at $43,190

The 2024 Lexus ES is hitting the market with some notable upgrades. While there are no major visual or mechanical updates, this best-selling sedan in the United States has some noteworthy improvements. The vehicle will be available at Lexus dealerships across the country later this summer, with a starting price of $43,190 (including destination and handling fees). This represents a slight increase from last year’s starting price of $42,490.

One of the key additions for the 2024 model year is the inclusion of the Lexus Safety System+ 2.5 as standard equipment for all trim levels. This comprehensive safety suite offers features such as a pre-collision warning system with pedestrian detection, left turn oncoming vehicle detection and braking, adaptive cruise control, lane tracing assist, road sign assist, and more.

2024 BMW X1 M35i xDrive: Powerful and Aggressive

The 2024 X1 M35i xDrive by BMW is the latest version of their entry-level SUV, boasting a powerful 2.0-liter engine. With its aggressive look and hardware upgrades, this SUV delivers exceptional performance on the road. Excitingly, it will also be the first BMW product to feature the new iDrive 9 infotainment system, set to go on sale in the United States in October of this year.

Built on the reports from last summer, the new X1 M35i xDrive does indeed come with a more robust version of BMW’s 2.0-liter engine. Upgrades such as a reinforced crankshaft, an optimized oil supply system, and main bearing shells and caps borrowed from BMW’s six-cylinder engines contribute to the increased power output. The improved engine now produces an impressive 312 horsepower between 5,750 and 6,500 rpm, with a peak torque of 295 pound-feet available from 2,000 to 4,500 rpm. This represents a significant boost compared to the base model’s 241 horsepower.

BMW M5 Touring to Make a Comeback in 2024 as a 700bhp-Plus Hybrid

The BMW M5 Touring will be making a return in 2024, after being absent from the lineup since the discontinuation of the E60-generation model in 2010.

BMW has confirmed that the new M5 will be available as both a saloon and estate model, and will feature a hybrid powertrain, as previously reported by Autocar.

The hybrid powertrain is expected to combine BMW’s 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged S63 V8 engine with a rear-mounted electric motor. Sources close to BMW claim that the combined power and torque outputs of the two units will be around 790bhp and 737lb ft.

Early prototypes of the new M5 were said to use a lithium-ion battery similar to the 12.0kWh unit found in the outgoing BMW 545e. It is still uncertain whether this battery will be used in the production versions of the next M5, as BMW M is rumored to be developing its own performance battery with ultra-rapid discharge properties.

The larger batteries found in the upcoming 530e and 550e PHEVs suggest that the new M5 may also receive a more capacious battery pack.

“We are now also installing a hybrid drive system with typical M performance in other high-performance cars,” said BMW M development head Dirk Häcker.

The power from the hybrid powertrain will be delivered through an eight-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox, and the M5 will feature a rear-biased xDrive four-wheel drive system.

The next generation of the M5 will also have a heavily reworked chassis, with notable features such as a wider front and rear track.

The introduction of the new BMW i5 won’t bring an all-electric M5, but the M division has made modifications to the electric saloon. The i5 M60, while not as focused on performance as the M5, can still accelerate from 0-62mph in 3.8 seconds, thanks to its dual-motor powertrain that produces a combined output of 593bhp and 605lb ft.

2024 Kia Telluride: New Running Lights and Price Increase

The 2024 Kia Telluride is set to hit the market with a modest increase in pricing across its different trims. The base model LX, which is front-wheel drive, will start at $37,355 (all 2024 prices include the $1,365 destination charge). On the other end, the top-tier SX-Prestige X-Pro trim will have a price tag of $54,550. Limited inventory of the 2024 Telluride will be available this month.

Kia has made some minor styling changes to the 2024 Telluride, resulting in a more rugged and refined appearance. However, these tweaks may not be immediately evident. One notable addition is the inclusion of amber daytime running lights across all models of the SUV. In the X-Line and X-Pro trims, Kia has replaced the dark metallic trim on the bumpers, lower door garnish, grille surround, and headlight bezels with a sleek black gloss finish.

2024 Lincoln Aviator Spied Wearing No Camo On The Road

Lincoln is not worried about hiding the refreshed 2024 Aviator from the public, as the development team is driving the luxury SUV without any camouflage. This is the second time the vehicle has been spotted like this.

The 2024 Aviator has a sleeker design for the front end, departing from its current boxy look. The grille has a more rounded shape with vertically oriented ovals in a metallic finish. The running lights have been revised and now extend towards the center of the vehicle’s face. The lower fascia features a simple trapezoidal outline, while air curtains are positioned on the outer edges.

2024 Audi Lineup In The US: All Of The Changes Coming

Starting this summer, models equipped with the MIB 3 software suite will have access to a new in-vehicle app store. Most versions of the A4, A5, A6, A7, A8, Q5, Q8, and E-tron GT will support this functionality. The app offerings will include popular platforms such as Spotify, TikTok, Yelp, Webex by Cisco, and The Weather Channel. Audi also plans to develop its own proprietary apps.

2024 Mercedes-AMG GT63 S E Performance Spotted Testing with Unusual Tailpipes

A recent video has captured the 2024 Mercedes-AMG GT63 S E Performance being tested with some design updates. While part of the car is camouflaged, it raises questions about potential changes in its powertrain.

The camouflage covers a significant portion of the front fascia, hood, and fenders. Mercedes has attempted to conceal the Panamericana grille, but the V8 E Performance badges on the fenders are visible. The GT63 will sport a redesigned grille above a refreshed front bumper.

2024 BETA XTRAINER ANNOUNCED

Beta has revealed some details about its 2024 model line, and one of the highlights is the 2024 Xtrainer. This off-road motorcycle is equipped with a 300cc two-stroke engine and comes at an attractive price. Last year, the Xtrainer underwent a complete redesign, and for the 2024 model, Beta has made further improvements in terms of form and function. The aim is to make the Xtrainer even more versatile and usable in various off-road riding conditions.

The Xtrainer stands out with its unique package of technical specifications, equipment, performance, ergonomics, and design. It now features a security/safety system, along with new graphics, for the 2024 model year. The engine’s power delivery is one of the standout features of the Xtrainer, as it is designed to meet the needs of riders who want a motorcycle that is easy to handle and practical in different situations. Inspired by trials riding, the Xtrainer offers adaptability and ease of use, making it suitable for beginners, seasoned enduro riders, and even experts who want an extreme enduro companion. With the Xtrainer, riders can focus on enjoying the off-road experience without any hassle.

Some notable features of the 2024 Xtrainer include:

  • Limited weight, tipping the scales at only 218 lbs.
  • A unique frame design that is approximately 15% smaller than the standard RR models, providing a smaller and more nimble feel.
  • A reduced seat height by 20mm compared to the RR model range, making it easier for riders to touch the ground in tricky conditions.
  • Nissin hydraulic disc brakes measuring 260mm at the front and 240mm at the rear.
  • A lightweight and high-performance lithium battery.
  • Single-track-inspired R16V suspension with 43mm forks at the front and a rear shock with linkage. The suspension offers adjustable spring preload and rebound damping.
  • An electric start for quick and convenient starting. There is also an option for a backup kick starter.
  • The Beta progressive exhaust valve that can be adjusted externally to optimize the engine’s performance based on riding conditions.
  • A two-position MAP switch that works independently from the power valve adjuster, allowing riders to have more control over engine tuning.
  • A transparent fuel tank with a capacity of 2.3 gallons.
  • An oil injection system that eliminates the need for premixing. The oil tank is located below the seat, and the seat can be easily removed for maintenance.
  • Off-road-friendly soft tires that enhance the Xtrainer’s handling and provide more grip over rocks and roots.
  • A cooling fan that is standard on all Xtrainers, automatically maintaining the engine at the perfect temperature.
  • A 300 cc engine derived from the RR models but tuned differently for the Xtrainer. The engine delivers softer overall power, and combined with the torquey exhaust pipe, offers a power delivery that feels almost electric. The special diaphragm clutch has three positions of adjustment to suit the rider’s preferences.
  • An electronic key/safety system that provides a secure lock-out key exclusively for the motorcycle. The system also includes a steering lock and a wristband tether that, when disconnected, will kill the engine for added safety.

As for pricing, the 2024 Xtrainer will be available at a price of $8,399.00, plus a $489.00 destination fee. Keep in mind that professional dealer setup, taxes, license, and other required fees are not included in the price.

The Xtrainer is expected to be available in September 2024.
