Bizarre Driving Laws You’ve Probably Never Heard Of

In Nevada, a state known for its vast desert landscapes, there is an unusual law related to camels. Many years ago, in 1856, the United States Military decided to use camels as pack animals for a short period of time in Nevada’s deserts instead of horses or donkeys. Unfortunately, this experiment did not succeed and the camels were either released or sold. However, a problem arose because these camels scared local horses, causing accidents on highways.

As a result, it is now illegal in the entire state of Nevada to take a camel on a public highway. It’s worth noting that horses are no longer commonly found on highways either, but this law remains in effect. Surprisingly, it is perfectly legal to drive a camel through the streets of Nevada cities, although the reason for wanting to do so is unclear.

2023 Toyota Prius Review: A Stylish Hybrid

There is a strong argument that suggests all new vehicles should be hybrids. The Prius, although not the only hybrid option available, offers the convenience of saving gas without requiring any significant changes to driving habits. You don’t need to plug it in, which makes it extremely easy to use.

What sets the 2023 Prius apart is its attractive design. It is a hybrid that catches your attention. I even found myself turning my head to look at one as it passed by, and I was already driving a Prius myself!

Starting at under $28,000 (plus destination charges), the Prius feels like a fantastic deal. Even the higher-spec $35,000 Limited model is competitively priced considering its features. For those with an interest in electric vehicles and access to parking and charging facilities, the Prius Prime, with its plug-in hybrid drivetrain, offers additional benefits. Nevertheless, there is plenty to appreciate in a stylish and practical car that is fuel-efficient and reasonably priced.

Ford Mustang V6 Owner Doesn’t Need A V8 After Four Years Of Driving

The Ford Mustang S550 – the sixth generation of the pony car – made its debut in 2014 with a selection of three engines – a 3.7-liter V6, a 2.3-liter turbocharged four-pot, and a 5.0-liter V8. However, for the 2018 model, Ford decided to discontinue the Cyclone V6, leaving the sports coupe with just two engine options. While some may argue that the V6 has certain compromises compared to the more powerful V8, others believe that it strikes the perfect balance between the base unit and the thirsty Coyote 5.0.

One Mustang owner holds strong to the belief that there’s no need to opt for the more expensive Mustang GT, as the 3.7 V6 is more than sufficient for everyday driving. In a new 20-minute video, he shares his detailed ownership experience after four years and 60,000 miles of driving. Overall, he has mostly positive things to say about his blue 2016 Mustang 3.7 V6, while also noting a few negatives.

2024 Lexus GX Already Receives Overlanding Makeover in Unofficial Rendering

The recently unveiled third-generation Lexus GX has already received a rugged makeover and new technologies. The SUV now offers an Overtrail trim, which includes mechanical upgrades and aesthetic enhancements. But what would the future hold for this model? New renderings from Kolesa.ru give us a glimpse of what an overlanding version of the GX could look like.

With its boxy and chiseled design, the 2024 GX seems like the perfect base for an adventure vehicle equipped with a roof tent. This digital rendering portrays the vehicle with a lifted suspension and BF Goodrich off-road tires. The black plastic cladding, present in the standard model, remains, but the new front bumper now features an integrated winch and additional LED lights. The roof also sports a light bar.

The rear bumper boasts another winch and LED bar. However, the main highlight of the overlanding upgrades is the foldable tent on the roof, possibly with an extending awning. Lastly, this adventure vehicle is distinguished by a new orange exterior color, setting it apart from the regular 2024 GX.

Based on the GA-F body-on-frame platform, the new GX is equipped with a double-wishbone front suspension and a multi-link setup at the rear. An optional Adaptive Variable Suspension with active dampers is also available. Powering the GX is a twin-turbo 3.4-liter V6 engine delivering 349 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque, making it the sole engine option at launch. Paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, this engine allows for a maximum towing capacity of 8,000 pounds.

If we hypothetically assume that this overlanding SUV is based on the Overtrail trim, it offers several upgrades over the standard model. These include 33-inch tires, a locking rear differential, and additional underbody protection.
