The compact BEV SUV won the first-ever “Electric Vehicle of the year” by the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA). Volkswagen claims the ID.4 won this award because its platform makes for an ideal EV base and can handle all kinds of different terrains, as well as serving as an example of what are the possibilities for the electric vehicle market.
